"Alright, so we'll spend three days in Boston from December 12th on?", Lucy asked and when Luke said yes, Lucy couldn't help but grin. The time to finally get Luke's birthday present had come right before Christmas. She and her brother would spend some days in Boston to watch a Patriots game and do some sightseeing. And she was extremely excited about this. It had been way too long since Lucy spent some quality time with Luke.
"Honey, I'm home!", Spencer's voice sounded from the front door.
"I have to go, Luke. Spencer's here. You gonna pick me up in two days?", she asked.
"Promise", Luke answered and then ended the call. Lucy had just put her phone on the coffee table when Spencer walked into the living room, carrying a little box.
"What makes you smile so much?", Spencer asked after he had kissed Lucy gently and sat down next to her.
"Luke finally found time to go to Boston with me", she said, beaming. "We'll fly on the 12th, for three days."
"That sounds great", Spencer said with a smile and pulled Lucy into his arms.
"And you're okay with that?", she murmured. Suddenly, she thought that maybe Spencer had planned to spend those days with her and now Luke had come and surprised her that they would be away for the whole weekend.
"Of course, I am", Spencer chuckled. "It's Luke's birthday present for you and you need to go whenever there's time for it."
Relieved, Lucy snuggled back into his arms again. Her gaze fell on the little box on the coffee table. "What's that?"
"Oh, I got this for you", Spencer said, sounding as if he had temporarily forgotten about it. Lucy grabbed and opened the box. A squeal escaped her mouth when she saw what was in there.
"Salted Caramel and Apple Cheesecake!", she exclaimed with joy and Spencer couldn't help but laugh.
"On the way home I stopped at your favorite bakery down the street to get it for you", Spencer said right before Lucy pressed her lips against his. She absolutely loved that cheesecake and couldn't believe Spencer had thought about it after coming home from work. But it had been like this since they had moved in here. It hadn't taken long for them to get used to living together. They enjoyed it to have only one apartment now. Spencer had told Lucy that he loved it to get home and know that someone was waiting for him. That he didn't have to sleep alone after a long and tiring case. And Lucy loved it when Spencer got home in the middle of the night and slipped under the duvet, wrapping an arm around her. She always snuggled into his chest and fell asleep again after he'd kissed her. Yes, that was the life Lucy wanted to live. With Spencer by her side. And she was okay with the fact that he had to be away a lot due to his job. He always made it up again when he was back. The thought of that made her smirk. Oh yes, he was good in apologizing for his absence.

"Luke, you're late!" Lucy put her hands on her hips and glared at her brother. For ten minutes, she was waiting for him to finally pick her up to drive to the airport. Luke rolled his eyes while he got out of the car to take Lucy's little suitcase.
"We're still early enough. Just because you're one of those strange people who like to spend hours at the airport doesn't mean that others – like me – miss their flight when they arrive not five or six hours early."
Spencer, who had been waiting with Lucy outside, chuckled. "What, are you taking his side now?", Lucy asked and Spencer lifted his hands in defeat.
"No, no, it's just fun to listen to your battle of words", he explained with a huge grin on his lips. "Have fun, babe." He pulled Lucy into a tight embrace before he kissed her gently.
"I will. I love you, Spencer." She kissed him once more before Luke called.
"First, you tell me that I'm late and then you can't part from your boyfriend! Geez!" He opened the door on the passenger's side and impatiently waited for his sister. Lucy hurried to get inside and waved at Spencer as they drove away.
"I'm so excited!", Lucy squealed and Luke laughed. Her excitement made him happy. It had been way too long since he could spend some proper time with his sister and now just hoped that this weekend would be one of the best in a very long time.

"When's the game?", Lucy asked as she unpacked her suitcase in the hotel room.
"At five", Luke answered and glanced at his watch. "We should make our way to the stadium, it's 3 already." He got up from the bed he had been laying on and grabbed his jacket. Excitedly, Lucy put on her New England Patriots jersey and a cap. Beaming, she looked at her brother. Luke laughed. "I still can't believe that you're a Patriots fan", he said, shaking his head. But Lucy didn't care. She loved that team and couldn't wait to finally see them playing live.
At four in the afternoon, Lucy and Luke had taken their seats in the Gillette stadium, both with a beer in their hands and some nachos. "Let's take a selfie so I can send it to Spencer", Lucy said grinning and rummaged for her phone.
"Seriously?", Luke asked but he already knew he wouldn't get out of this. Lucy didn't take selfies a lot, but when she did, no one could escape her. She held up her phone and made some silly pictures of her and her brother and sent them to Spencer's phone. She giggled when she put it away again. "Spencer's gonna be jealous", Luke said but Lucy shook her head before taking a sip of her beer.
"He isn't into football, so I don't think he's actually jealous", she explained as she made herself comfortable in her seat. Only five minutes and the game would finally start. She couldn't hide her excitement anymore. It was incredibly cold already, but Lucy didn't care. All she wanted was to watch this game and that the Patriots would win it.
Hours later, Lucy was happy about a win of her team and a real nice dinner she and Luke have had after the game. As soon as she had let herself fall into the hotel bed, she fell asleep and didn't even make it to write Spencer a short message. She was just too tired after that exciting day.
The next days, Lucy and Luke spent with sightseeing tours through Boston and they had a lot of fun. They both took a lot of silly pictures and sent them to the whole team. They walked the Freedom Trail, visited the Boston National Historical Park, the New England Aquarium and just strolled through the parks and enjoyed the time together.
"How is it to live with Spencer?", Luke asked while they had their last dinner in Boston before flying back to D.C.
"Oh, it is amazing", Lucy replied with a smile. "It's...nice to finally have just one apartment and not two. Only one key and not two." She put a bite of her steak into her mouth and watched Luke smile too.
"You know, I'm glad that you have him. You're a wonderful couple and you look really happy", he said. It felt good to hear those words from her brother. Luke's opinion always had been important to her. And since she loved Spencer so much, she was glad that Luke liked him too. She'd known it before that dinner, but it still meant a lot to her to hear him saying it.
Lucy suddenly remembered the night after Damien Peters went to jail and the team had dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Luke had suggested that Spencer would drive Lucy home...He had said that he had something else to do...She knew that Luke have had a feeling about her and Spencer. But did he want Spencer to drive her home that night in hope they might confess their feelings to each other?
"Why are you frowning?", Luke asked. Lucy now leaned a bit over the table, examining her brother's face. Oh, he looked so innocent...but he wasn't that innocent at all.
"Luke...did you ask Spencer to drive me home on purpose that one night after the dinner in the Chinese restaurant?", she asked back and the facial expression on Luke's face immediately gave him away. "Wow, you should really work on your poker face, you're an FBI agent", Lucy chuckled.
"I've got a poker face!", he exclaimed. "And yes, I did. I sensed that there were some strong feelings before you two lovebirds finally found the courage to tell each other", he admitted with a grin right now.
Lucy rolled her eyes at him but couldn't hide a smile.
"I did you a favor, didn't I?", Luke asked.
Now Lucy laughed. "You did, indeed. Thanks, big brother."
