„I can't believe he's done that!", Spencer exclaimed.

„Spencer, come on sit down!", Lucy loudly said and grabbed his hand to pull him back on the couch. It was the day after their wedding and they were looking at the presents they had gotten. And the one Rossi had given them...was just...amazing. At least, Lucy thought so. Spencer didn't seem to be so excited about it.

"How he dares paying for our honeymoon? We haven't even decided where we want to go!" Spencer threw his hands up in the air. Lucy bit her bottom lip to hold back a chuckle. It didn't happen often that Spencer freaked out. It was fascinating to watch. But she had enough of it right now, so she pressed him back into the pillows.

"Stop it now", she calmly said while she looked at the plane tickets and the hotel booking that they'd found in an envelope while unpacking their wedding presents. The tickets were for a flight from D.C. to Kaua'i, Hawaii. And the hotel booking...for a luxury resort directly on a private beach. "This is a dream honeymoon, Spence", Lucy said and handed him the tickets and the booking. Quietly, he looked at it and then sighed.

"The flight is for tomorrow. I...I don't even have asked for days off yet!" He groaned. Lucy took Spencer's phone from the coffee table and dialed Emily's number before passing the phone to its owner.

"Ask Emily. I'm sure she'll give you two weeks off." With those words, Lucy got up and called Phoebe. She wanted to ask her if there was a chance that she could look after the shop while Lucy would be away. And Phoebe agreed. She wouldn't be able to open it every day but Lucy was okay with it. Only a few days would be good too. She'd write a temporary opening sign to put next to the front door.

"She gave me two weeks!", Spencer exclaimed when Lucy came back into the living room.

"I told you so", she smirked and let herself sink next to Spencer again. He wrapped an arm around her.

"I'm not a huge fan of the beach and stuff. But...maybe I could start like it. Kind of." He smirked and Lucy laughed out loud, feeling all excited about that honeymoon now. She had always wanted to go to Hawaii. And now she had the chance to.

"I'm going to pack!", she exclaimed, jumped from the couch and disappeared in the bedroom. Spencer followed her laughing. Without a warning, they'd have their honeymoon. And although Spencer had never thought about going to the beach, he was excited now as well.

"Wait!" Spencer suddenly stopped in his movements. Lucy looked up from her suitcase, frowning.

"What?"

"I don't have swimming trunks!"

Lucy burst out in laughter. She laughed so hard that tears started to run down her cheeks. "That's not funny", Spencer murmured with his arms crossed in front of his chest. But Lucy nodded and whipped away the tears.

"It is", she chuckled. "Guess what? Go and buy some while I continue packing, okay?"

The next day, after sitting almost 13 hours in a plane from D.C. to the airport in Lihu'e, Spencer and Lucy finally arrived at their hotel in Princeville. "I'm really wondering why he did this", Spencer murmured as they walked into the lobby. Lucy smirked.

"I have a feeling, he did this so you'll finally find some peace and get a bit of sun", she replied. Spencer just murmured something Lucy couldn't understand. They checked in and then stepped into the suite Rossi had booked for them. Lucy's jaw dropped. The suite was huge and from their bedroom and bathroom they had a view directly to the sea. "Wow", Lucy murmured as she slowly walked through the suite. "Wow."

Spencer was amazed as well and couldn't believe Rossi had done this for them. "I guess...I might like it here", he quietly said as he wrapped his arms around Lucy. She snuggled into his chest.

"Let's go to the beach. It looks amazing", Lucy suggested. And much to her surprise, Spencer agreed. She had thought that she'd have to fight with him about going to the beach. But nope, he was already rummaging in his suitcase. Smiling, Lucy did the same to find her bikini and hurried to get changed.

Soon they were swimming in the ocean. For Spencer, it took a moment to get used to walking around in swimming trunks. Since he didn't have the body of a model he seemed to be a bit embarrassed at first. But Lucy took that feeling away from him. She was so loving and showed him how much she admired him all the time. Giggling, she now came swimming towards Spencer and then wrapped her arms and legs around Spencer's body. The water here wasn't too deep, Spencer could still stand while Lucy couldn't anymore.

"It isn't so bad, right?", she quietly asked. Spencer nodded and then kissed her passionately.

"No, it isn't. It's actually nice to be honest. Even the beach and the water", he confessed. The beach was a private one and belonged to the hotel. So, there weren't that many people here and it wasn't too crowded. They felt comfortable almost from the first moment on.

They enjoyed amazing meals, they took baths in the huge bath tub with a view over the sea and the sunsets in the evenings, they took long walks on the beach and for some days, Lucy and Spencer even rented a car to drive over the island and see a bit more of this place that was also called paradise. They drove to Waimea and to the volcano Kilauea. Both, Spencer and Lucy, were fascinated by the nature of this island. It was green almost everywhere; there were beautiful, lonely beaches and a lot of rain forests. Lucy couldn't think of something more beautiful she had seen so far.

"Spencer?" Lucy and Spencer were taking their last long walk on the beach in the evening before they'd fly back home the next afternoon. They were holding hands and walked slowly through the sand.

"Yeah?"

"I wish we could stay here for longer", Lucy sighed and leaned her head against his shoulder. "It's calm and beautiful and relaxing. When we're back in D.C., we both have to work again and might not see each other so often..." She stopped and let her eyes wander over the ocean.

"I can't believe I'd ever say this, but yes, I agree. I could stay here for a bit longer as well", Spencer eventually said, rubbing Lucy's arm and kissing her hair. She chuckled and looked up to him.

"Seriously? Well, I can't believe you're saying this neither." They both laughed and then got lost in a long, romantic kiss while the sun was going down. Yes, this had been the perfect honeymoon and they would have to thank Rossi a lot for this. Even Spencer, who wasn't a huge fan of the beach and the sea, had enjoyed it and had swam in the salty water every day.

"You'll be glad to be back in your bookstore, believe me", Spencer said after they'd parted and grinned widely. Lucy grinned back. She knew he was right. She couldn't deny that she missed her store a bit. And she had made some plans for it when they were back.
