Lucy hurried to pack the rest of all the Christmas cookies into a box. Spencer would arrive anytime, joined by his mother. Yes, Diana was coming to D.C. to celebrate Christmas with her son and his friends. And Lucy was nervous. Although she had met Spencer's mom already, she wasn't sure if she'd remember and still like her. Spencer had told Lucy that she was worrying way too much. Diana would remember her. He'd make his mom remember Lucy, no matter what, he had said.

And now Lucy was getting ready while Spencer had taken a flight to Vegas to pick up Diana. We'll be home in about half an hour. Lucy had gotten that message from him a few minutes ago and now packed the cookies – which the kids would love, she knew – and Spencer's Christmas present into her bag. Then she ran into the bathroom to check on her outfit one last time. Lucy was wearing a crimson dress that stopped right over her knees, that were dressed in black tights. The sleeves were made from lace and went down to her elbows. The dress looked festive but not too glamorous. The silver pumps Lucy had put on let the whole outfit sparkle.

"We're here!" Spencer's voice sounded from the corridor and with her heart pounding hard against her chest, Lucy came from the bathroom. And there she was: Diana, standing next to her son, looking directly at Lucy.

"Lucy, my dear!", she exclaimed and came to hug her. A bit overwhelmed, Lucy returned the hug and felt relieved. Diana obviously remembered her.

"Mom, come on, we have to leave for Rossi's", Spencer said with a smile when Diana didn't want to let go of Lucy.

"Oh, you're always in a hurry, Spencer", Diana murmured, but released Lucy from her hug. She smiled and put a hand on Lucy's cheek. "You look lovely, my dear", she said and Lucy couldn't help but smile brightly.

"Thank you, Mrs. Reid."

"Oh please, call me Diana!", Diana said with a gesture before she turned around and went towards the door again. Lucy grabbed her bag and followed Diana and Spencer.

"Do you have the cookies?", Spencer quietly asked and Lucy nodded.

"Of course, I have. We can't eat them all. I'm sorry I made way too many."

Spencer grinned and leaned in to kiss her. "You just got carried away a bit while you were baking, that's alright", he chuckled.

"Oh, wait!", Lucy suddenly exclaimed and stopped on the way to the stairs. Frowning, Spencer looked at her. "I forgot the guitar!", she explained and ran back to get her instrument. "Rossi asked if I'd take it with me", she said as she joined Spencer and his mom again. And Spencer just smiled. He looked as if he was excited to hear her sing later this evening.

Arriving at Rossi's, the three of them walked up to the front door and rang the bell. Rossi opened so fast, that Lucy thought he might have been waiting right next to it. He kissed her cheeks, complimenting her on her looks and then was delighted to meet Diana again. When Lucy went through the corridor and stepped into the living room, she was overwhelmed once more. It was full of people. A lot of people. There were Rossi's daughter Joy, her son Kai and her husband. Emily had come, Tara too and there were Penelope, JJ, Will and the boys. Matt hat come as well, accompanied by his wife – which Lucy now shook hands with. Her name was Kristy and her and Matt's children were called Jake, David, Chloe and Lily. "Oh wow, you've got a lot to do", Lucy said and Kristy laughed.

"Oh, you have no idea", she grinned as she sat down on the couch and one of her daughters crawled into her lap.

"Here you are, finally!", suddenly a voice sounded behind Lucy's back and she turned around.

"Dad?!" Lucy's eyes widened at the sight of her father. Right behind him, there was her mother standing and smiled at her. "Mom? What...what are you doing here?"
