Y/n POV

Kakashi Hatake. The copy cat ninja. The man that has owned my heart ever since I was 15. Except, his heart is owned by my best friend, b/f/n. Kakashi and I are friends and have been since birth, and so has b/f/n. We were always together but Kakashi and B/f/n were always flirty with each other. When we were growing up and I started to develop feelings for Kakashi, b/f/n started dating him. She knew I had a crush on him. Oh course, I didn't say anything I am a Jōnin and I have bigger things to worry about. Nonetheless, I still love him, even now that we are in our late 20's and wish he knew how I felt. Kakashi is the leader of team 7 while me and b/f/n are leaders of our own teams. 

"Y/n- sensei when are we going on our on our first mission? Real mission." My student Julian asked me

"Yeah all we do is go on D ranked missions" Robert complained 

"Guys all of you need to get stronger before we can go on anything higher. It's dangerous out there and where is Mia?" I asked

"She is helping our mom with something at home." Robert said 

"Ok well fill her in when you get the chance Robert and now we--"

"Hello Y/n" Kakashi greeted popping out of a cloud of smoke

"Kakashi how many times do I have to tell you not to bother me when I am teaching my students." I say harshly

"Ouch Y/n I thought we were friends" Kakashi said dramatically 

"y/n sensei is this your boyfriend?" Robert asked

"Eh? No he's dating b/f/n sensei" I said

"Ew. I think he should be dating you y/n sensei" Julian piped in.

"Well that's his choice. What do you need Kakashi" I asked

"Tsunade wants us to go on a delivery mission. She wants my team and your team to go." Kakashi responded.

"Just go with b/f/n and her team." I muttered

"She has her own mission and quite frankly I don't want her to. It's too dangerous." He said

wow I see how it is Kakashi you'd rather it be me dying instead of her - I thought

"Fine. When do we leave and what rank is it." I sighed.

"It's a B rank and we leave tomorrow." He said unemotionally.

"A B rank? Is Tsunade out of her mind?" I slightly raised my voice.

"Take it to her if you have a problem with it. Although, trust your students, they can handle it" Kakashi told me

"Yeah whatever. Guys meet at the gate tomorrow at 7 I have somewhere to go." I tell them

"Sensei what about training?" Robert asked

"Kakashi can train you, since it looks like he has time. I need to go now bye." I said and disappeared. 

I reappear in front the Konoha cemetery and go inside. I stop walking when I see it. I put down the bouquet of flowers I have and clean the gravestone. 

"Hey S/n. It's been a while. Sorry I haven't come, I have been busy training my students. I have a mission tomorrow and I'm worried for my students. You'd know what to do in a situation like this. You were always the intelligent one." I laughed at the last part.
