Katsuki Bakugo x reader (My Hero Academia)

"Katsuki!!!" I exclaim, jumping on his back. He lets out a low growl in protest.

"What do you want loser?"

Katsuki and I have been friends since we were in diapers. As kids, we were inseparable. If I wasn't at home, I was always with him. I was there the day he first saw All Might on TV and when he would fight off the bullies despite not having a quirk yet. When he first discovered his quirk, he was so excited to show me. A few weeks later, I found out I had an ice quirk and made a small figure of him to show it off. Even when he started changing and 'blowing up' in front of other students, I knew the same boy who was best friends with me was still there. And even when he started calling me 'loser' or 'dumbass' he always showed me, one way or another, that he didn't really mean it.

"Good morning to you too, meanie" I pout, jumping off his back. Katsuki is in class 1-A while I'm in class 1-B. He rolls his eyes as his friends, Kirishima and Kaminari laugh at him

"I was going to ask, do you want to train together? After school just like we used to?"

"Whatever. Don't expect me to go easy on you"

I giggle. "Wouldn't dream of it"

I say my goodbyes and walk to my class. Monoma lets out a huge rant about how much bastards everyone in class 1-A are, especially Katsuki.

"Monoma, Katsuki isn't that bad, he's just....hyper attentive" I smile. He replies with a sigh, knowing no matter what he says, he'll never get me to look at Kastuki the same way he does. Yes, I do have a crush on the ash blonde but would I ever tell him that? Nope, not a chance. His goal is to be the number one hero and I'd probably only stand in the way of that. So, I decided I would support him as his friend.

~later~

Classes pass like a breeze. Before I know it, lunchtime is upon us. As mush as I love hanging around Katsuki and his friends, Monoma and Kendo also are a lot of fun to be around. I giggle as Kendo hits Monoma on the head, knocking him out once again. Monoma is probably the class flirt and tried making a move on me....for the 3rd time today. I laugh at Kendo's scolding, and we all know that Monoma will keep trying anyways.

"Shut up you damn extra!" I hear Katsuki yell from across the room. My head whips around to see what had gotten him so riled up, but by the time I did, he was already walking away.

"I wonder what his deal is" Kendo mutters

"Beats me. I think it's just him" Monoma rolls his eyes annoyed

"Katsuki..."

~After school~

I hear the bell ring and I pack up my things, placing them neatly into my bag. Making my way out of the room quickly, I race towards my dorm and change into some training clothes. I put on a pair of black shorts, a f/c shirt and black running shoes. I tie my hair up in a ponytail and leave my room.

"Hey Y/n! Where you off to?" A familiar red-head comes into view

"Oh hey there Kirishima, I'm going to go train with Katsuki" I smile at him as his lips form a slight curve

"Oh? Anything going to happen after?" His small smile turns into a wide grin

I sigh, shaking my head. "You know him Kiri, he doesn't have any interest in anything else aside from being number one"

"But isn't it worth trying?"

"Trying something and knowing the outcome is almost like doing the same thing hoping for a different outcome, and that's the definition of insanity"

He sighs, knowing that I'm right. I wave him goodbye before running towards the training field. I see Katsuki with his hands stuffed in his pockets waiting. He averts his gaze towards me and scowls
