"She's dead Shota" Those words echo through my mind

She's dead

Dead 

"You kidding right?" My voice comes out shakier than I want

"I'm sorry Shota" Midnight hangs her head low as tears start to fall in her eyes. 

"H-How did she die?"

Midnight stays silent for a minute. "The League....Shigaraki...."

I grit my teeth and stand up. Of course it's him. He's taken so much from so many people. He could have taken anything else from me, but he had to take her.

"Y/n...her last words...she said she loves you" Midnight lets out a small whimper and starts shaking as the tears start streaming down her face. I feel my own tears starting to brim and I leave the room, wiping my eyes as the door of the staff room closes. She's not really gone, she can't be. I take out my phone, seeing the wallpaper of us on our last date, which was a week ago. Christmas was 3 weeks away. The icy wind of December made me want to stay home, but she insisted we went out. We ended up getting some coffee and f/d then walking around. She smiled so brightly as she saw the Christmas decorations adorning the city and the carolers singing praises. We took the picture right in front of the tree, which was in the middle of an ice skating rink. 

"What I would give to see you again Y/n..."

I knew it was a bad idea for her to take that mission, but she said she had to. While I had already quit my agency to be a teacher, she still continued her pro hero work. The mission was she had to get close to one of the League of Villain members and gain their trust. I opposed the idea of her taking that mission of course. It was too dangerous and she would get close to them. This is what I was afraid of, her losing to the league. I move my arm up to my eyes again, wiping the last of my tears before putting eyedrops in my eyes and walking into my class. The kids go silent, all of their eyes filled with sadness and worry.

"Good morning" They all mutter a quiet greeting then silence themselves. "What's wrong you?"

"Urm well..." Midoriya starts

"Is it..." Uraraka covers her mouth

I let out a sigh. "If your refering to the death of h/n, yes it's true"

My students now have tears in their eyes. I let out a quiet, shaky breath and clear my throat, but before I can speak, All Might opens the door.

"So everyone knows"

"Yeah"

"She died for a noble cause"

'noble? This mission was stupid and they shouldn't have sent her on it'

"Yeah" I say

My head turns to the small whimpers of some of the female students in the class. Y/n had come a few times and talked to the class about being a pro hero and she was a great role model for the female students. 

"Mr Aizawa" 

"Yes Yaoyorozu"

"Forgive me if this is too forward, but you and h/n were...in a relationship weren't you?" Eyes widen and look at me

I sigh again, slightly looking down and fixing my scarf. "Yes, you are correct"

"Mr Aizawa..."

"how is he taking this?"

"If we're all like this, how bad is he?"

"How is he not hurting?"

'and this is why I didn't say anything before. Man I need a nap, but who knows if I'll even be able to sleep'
