Kakashi x reader (Naruto)

So story time I was at lunch doing some homework and one of my friends said something that inspired me to write this. This is a dad Kakashi x child reader, hence I said not really.

Y/n POV

I wouldn't say I'm a troublemaker....I'm just bored a lot and hate school. My teachers suck and I hate doing and work. I am Y/n Hatake, Daughter of Kakashi Hatake.  Unlike my father, I mess around a lot. I skip class sometimes out of boredom but the school hasn't given me a REAL punishment.  I don't have many friends, aside from Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki. 

7 am~

"Hey Y/n come on we are going to be late for school!" Sasuke yelled.

"Fine by me!" I yelled back.

"Y/n You need to go to school" My dad said

"yeah yeah see you after school I guess" I rolled my eyes and walked to the door

" Love you Y-" he started before I slammed the door shut

"Let's go Sasuke" I said

7:30 am at school

"Are you going to class today Y/n?" Naruto asked

"Probably not. Love your dad and all Naruto but his class is sooooo boring." I said

"Hn Y/n skipping class is fun but we should go today. We are being put in groups today for the final." Sasuke said

"tell you what Sasuke, you go to class with Naruto and ask to have me put in your group if you guys don't wanna ditch with me."  I said

They both stood silently

"Ok then see ya" I said hopping out the window.

"Hm what to do" I said aloud

3pm at school

"So guys how was class?" I asked

"Boring but we are in the same group for the final." Naruto stated

"great. You guys wanna go out?" I asked

"I would but my dad wants me to go home right now. Catch you guys later" Naruto said waving then running off

"Sasuke?" I asked

"I'm free. Where do you wanna go?" he asked

"Not sure. Anywhere" I said

"I know where then" he said

Sasuke ended up taking me to the training grounds that his family owns. His older brother Itachi was there and gave us some time to spare. We got tips from him and ended up doing this for about 2 hours. Being bored, Sasuke and I decided to go get something to eat. After a while we went on a walk and just spoke. It had been a while since we really had time to catch up so this was nice. 

"So how's your dad" he asked

"He's fine." I replied simply

"Have you spoken to him" 

"Not much. I don't really know what to say."

"You should"

"Why"

"You should be able to have a relationship with your father"

"Says you. Look at yours" I commented 

"It's better then yours"

"But Y/n-"

"Look Sasuke, my relationship with my father is none of your concern" I spat out

"Y/n I'm saying this for your own good. Ever since-"

"It's getting late. You should go home" I coldly said

"But what about you" He asked

"I have something to do. I'll see you at school tomorrow maybe" I said and walked away

I wandered for a while just thinking. Thinking about what Sasuke said, Thinking about my father, thinking about me. I ended up wandering into the nearby cemetery. I walked and walked and walked until finally I stopped.

"Hey. It's been a while. I promised myself to come more often but it looks like I can't even keep that word." I chuckled. 

"School is fine. I have been skipping out of boredom and I honestly have been so lost without you. I know it's been years but I still feel the pain. It's like it happened yesterday. I can't even speak to him. I haven't had a real conversation with him for years. I also haven't sang. It hurts too much. I miss you so much. I wish you were here." I cried

I sat there for the next few hours until it got late and started to rain. I pulled my hoodie over and started walking home. It was late so there wasn't that many people out. I walked until I got home. I looked up at the door before opening it, making as little noise as possible. I slipped off my shoes and began to walk through the living room. 

"You're back late" my dad stated turning on the light. 

"Yeah so?" I respond.

"Principle called. He said you skipped school again" he said

"Ok"

"Y/n this is the 5th time this month, and the 3rd time you've come back passed 11 in the past 2 weeks." He scolded

"What's the point of you telling me things that I already know?" I ask

"Look Y/n I've been really lenient with you these past few years but this is when I draw the line. Ever since your mom died you've been acting like this." he scolded again

When he said that sentence I froze. It's like time just stopped and everything wasn't there anymore. 

"Y/n look at me when I am talking to you" he stated turning me around.

I refused to look him in the eye. He continued to scold me while I stared at the ground. I didn't care how much he yelled at me. Nothing is going to change. 

"Are you listening Y/n?" He asked

"Dad do you love me?" I asked, still not making eye contact 

"....why would you ask that you know I do" he responded blankly 

"You always say it but do you mean it." I ask

"Y/n-"

"When mom died you started to spend less time in the house. You would always go to work early and come back late. You were never here and I learned to do things on my own. You never saw how much her death affected me. You never took time to check up on your daughter and it's like I didn't exist." I said

He then hugged me. He hasn't hugged me in years. 

"Dad....."

"I'm sorry. "

"Dad I'm so lost without her. She's not here to help me with homework. She's not here to make me laugh. She's not here to take me shopping. It hurts so much" I cried.

"I know I know. I'm sorry I wasn't here to help you" he said hugging me tighter. 

"Hey dad"

"Hm"

"I love you"

"I love you too kid"
