I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream

That gorgeous midnight black hair and those gunmetal blue eyes captured my attention the moment I first laid eyes on him. I thought I was dreaming when I saw him in the castle that day. We were having a banquet one day to celebrate a marriage anniversary for my father and mother, the king and queen of Illia. I remember that night I was bored of all the princes from neighboring kingdoms trying to court me, when my eyes met his. He was outside on the balcony where I usually go. 

"Hello there. And what might you be doing here?" I smiled, standing beside him. 

"Getting some fresh air. The night is beautiful" 

"Indeed it is. I'm Princess Y/n L/n of Illia" I curtsied at him as he smiled

"Pleasure to meet you Princess Y/n. I am prince Keiji Akaashi of Velaris" He bowed at me

I know you, The gleam in your eyes is so familiar a gleam

"So Prince Keiji, would you like to explore the garden" I gave him a smile

"I would love to Princess Y/n" He held out his hand, taking me into the garden just below the balcony. The hyacinths and roses were in full bloom and we strolled through the garden, making light conversation. He talked about one of his knights Bokuto and how exhausting he could be sometimes. I laughed as I tell him stories of my brother, Prince Shoyo as well. The music starts playing from inside the ballroom after a while.

"Care to dance princess?" He extended his hand once more 

"I would love to" I took his hand as we began dancing to the music

It was as if time stopped. It was just us dancing away into the night. No one mattered anymore. As soon as I looked into his orbs, I was under some kind of spell. We looked into each other's eyes as if we were the only two people in the world. His family and my family were very powerful, both having other princes and princesses dropping at our feet left and right. My heart jumped a little as he started speaking

"You're very beautiful Princess Y/n"

"You're very handsome as well Prince Keiji" He chuckled, twirling me around. I laughed as we pulled apart, only for him to pull me back in front of him. We stopped dancing and started taking a walk through the castle grounds again. We laughed together, complaining about our parents always making us meet with people and wanting us to get married. 

"Have you met someone yet?" I suddenly asked him, slightly catching him off guard. "That you would want to marry"

Once upon a time, I dreamed we'd be together, in love forever

He let out a light laugh. "I did...but I'm not sure I want to marry them anymore"

"Why not?

He turned his had looking into my e/c eyes, a grin plastered on his face. His cheeks were a bit pink, but it was too dark to notice a huge difference. "It's kind of cheesy but..." He held one of my hands, the other scratching the back of his own head.
