Y/n POV

I've always been by myself

For as long as I can remember

I've bounced between family and family, never staying at one place for too long. I met Mr Sebastian and the young master 2 days ago. I was running through the streets trying to get to my second job when I accidentally tripped over some lady's dog and she started yelling at me. I realized I was late and was panicking when Sebastian came up to me and asked me who I was and what I was doing. I told him about my jobs. He offered me a job, and place to stay, so I took his offer.

And here we are now. 

"The rooms are here, the dining hall is here, you have to wake up by 7, the young master requires tea in the morning and one of the most important rules" He turns around, looking me dead in the eye. "We only have one female servant, and she is off limits"

I laugh internally

You see, what he doesn't know is

I'm Gay

"O-Oh okay..." 

Sebastian takes me to the room I'm staying in with the other servants and I sit on my bed. The room isn't glorious, but it's to be expected. I heard about the Phanomhieve fire and how the young master was the only one who survived it. I feel a bit bad for him though, he probably still has memories from his family. I sigh, standing up before making my way to the kitchen. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do,Sebastian didn't give me a set task per say, so I guess I'll just help people out. 

"Oh hello there! You must be the new worker. I'm Mey Rin." I girl with glasses in a maid's dress greets me with a smile

"Hello...I'm Y/n" 

"I assume Sebastian already told you I'm off limits" She laughs lightly

"Oh well...yes but I'm gay anyways"

"Oh, just like Finny"

'Finny? Who's that?'

"Mey Rin!!" A boy comes rushing in, ignoring me completely 

"Finny. This is the new worker. His name is Y/n"

He pauses for a minute, eyeing me from head to toe. A wide grin appears on his face "It's nice to meet you Y/n!!" He grabs my hand in between his and shakes it. I pull my hand away abruptly

"Yeah...sure"

"Hey Y/n can you help me out with washing the vegetables?" The chef asks

"Yeah. I'll be right there" I get a pair of gloves and start washing

"So Y/n" Finny leans on the counter and starts a conversation. "Where'd you come from? What's your favorite color? How about your favorite food? Oh! What's your favorite hobby? Oh and-" 

"Don't you have a job to do?" I interrupt him with a cold response

He quiets down before walking away and talking to Mey Rin. "I forgot to introduce myself, sorry" My head whips towards the chef. "I'm Bard. And you're Y/n correct?"

"Yeah..."

"Don't be so hard on Finny. He's naturally cheery" 

"I take my jobs very seriously, and he should too. There is no reason for him to be waiting around while there are things to be done"
