Request: Dagger x male reader (Black Butler)

We walk through town as the crowd cheers. I intertwine my hand with my boyfriend, Dagger as he sighs. 

"Why are we doing this?"

"doing what?"

"You know what Dagger."

"It's our job, we have to do what it takes to stay alive"

I take my hand away and cross my arms. This is going to be a very long circus performance. I don't prefer to be angry with him, but I don't agree with his choices sometimes. Dagger came to my town a few months ago with his circus. At the time I was still the prissy prince of the l/n manor, the guy that every girl wanted to be with, however I never had much interest in them. Then I met him one night that I was able to get away from my family. As far as they know, I'm dead, but in reality, as cliche as it sounds, I ran away to join the circus.

"Don't be upset Y/n. You did decide to come along after all"

"Whatever asshole"

"My such profanity, is that how you talked in the manor?" he teases, whispering in my ear.I shudder before pushing him away from me

"Relax, nothing is going to happen"

'I high doubt that Dagger, but okay'

~later: the first performance~

"First up: Our talented trapeze artists, Peter and Wendy!" Joker, the ringleader start to announce us while we show off our tricks

I take in a breath, back faced towards Dagger as we throw our knives, just missing the person tied on the moving wheel. "Our knife throwers who never miss their targets, Dagger and Y/n!"

"A daringly beautiful dancer, the serpent man, the amazing snake"

"If you look above ladies and gents, a death defying walk across the tallest tightrope, by the lovely circus princess, Doll" The crowd cheers as she makes her way back and forth on the tightrope. I watch from the side, eying the audience. A certain blood red eyed man catches my attention and he looks back at me, I sigh before turning to look at Dagger, who is not paying attention to his surroundings

'Nothing is going to happen huh?'

"And last but not least, the brightest star of our group, the famous tamer of wildcats, Beast!" 

The man from earlier stands up and makes his way down to beast and the tiger, he then, gets bit. I let out a small snicker as I watch from the sidelines.

'I still have this uneasy feeling, but maybe I should relax a bit' 

~later~

I lay on Daggers chest as a let out a low sigh. He runs his fingers through my hair, indirectly telling me everything is ok. My mind traces back to a few months ago when I left. I just dropped everything and joined the circus. How much of an idiot am I? Then again, I really wasn't happy and I DID want an escape from it. Mother probably would have introduced me the Lady Kanako or whatever her name is and father probably would have made it an arranged marriage. I pout and Dagger takes notice of this.

"What's wrong"

"Nothing... it's fine" 

~The next day~

"So why am I here?" 

"That guy from yesterday that got bit by Beast's tiger joined us. Something about having a someone who wanted to join too"
