Suddenly, Laurance's phone started to ring and he seemed to be upset, at the sudden call.

"Give me one minute," he said as he pulled out his phone from his pocket. "Hello?"

I didn't want to eavesdrop although I wanted to so badly, so I decided to just walk around the area around us while he talked to whoever he was talking to on the phone.

I decided to go into Hot Topic and saw some pretty cool shirts I would love to have.

"Y/N!"

I heard my name being called as I turned around. I saw no one and was confused as to who called my name. I kept looking around the shop and saw no one.

Right then, someone tapped me on my right shoulder as I flinched and turned around to see Aaron.

He laughed a little and smiled as he saw me. "I didn't know you were a scary cat."

(If you didn't know this about me, when someone sneaks up on me I get so damn scared. I don't know why.)

"I'm not! I just was surprised! That's all," I said embarrassed as I turned around so he didn't see my face.

"Aww are you blushing?"

"No! Shut up!" I pushed him aside a little and saw him enjoying this so much.

"I'm just kidding, where's Laurence?"

I calmed myself down and took a deep breath, before answering. "He's on the phone so I just decided to check the shops nearby. What about you? Where's Axel?"

"Oh Axel said he needed to go. Apparently his boss called to pay him extra if he works overtime."

"Poor guy, he just wants to make his life better for his sister." I sighed as I remembered how I am with Joseph as well.

"How does it feel like to work and go to school? Don't you have a couple of hours on weekdays before you head to work?"

"Yeah.. It's sometimes stressful. But, at least I'm making life better for Joseph." I smiled sadly as I remembered that woman's words.

"You are useless and you always were. No one loves you."

Maybe she's right..

"Hey Y/N- A-and Aaron?" Laurence called for me as he made his way over to me. "My dad called and said to come over right away. He needs help.. Ugh, I'm sorry."

"It's okay Laurence. We can hang out next time."

"Yeah! For sure! Anyways, see ya then. Er, bye Aaron."

As he walked away, Aaron and I decided to walk around the mall to chat.

"Aaron," I said suddenly which surprised him.

"Yeah?"

"Do you have any secrets?"

Aaron suddenly stopped and he looked at me, questionably. "Secrets?"

"Like, secrets you haven't told to anyone. That you're afraid to tell."

He looked at me for a moment before softening up. "Are you afraid of telling people yours?"

"..." I looked down for a bit and remembered everything.

I entered school the next morning and was happy to get Ivy off my back. She didn't have to keep dragging me away from people and I could make new friends.

Right then, I got weird glances from people and saw them all whispering stuff.

I heard my name most of them and that made me uneasy, wondering what all the commotion is all about.

As I got to my locker and opened it, a letter was inside of it, placed nicely in an envelope.

As curious as I was, I opened it right away and unfolded the letter.

You shouldn't have done that, yelling at me. Didn't I tell you? I know your secrets.~ I hope you don't mind everyone also knowing about them. I may have made some stuff up like.. You made your dad get killed and your mother abandoning you, while your brother was forced to live with such a hideous creature like you. I hope you like my gift!

My hands shook as my eyes widened, rereading the letter over and over again.

My eyes were watering up as I slowly turned to everyone else, who was staring at me.

"Apparently she killed her father.."

"How cruel.."

"How is she not arrested yet?"

"I'm glad Ivy isn't friends with her anymore. Imagine all the threats she got from this monster."

Every single word from their mouth, made me break down.

That became my trauma.

Any insult could break me down slowly and it was stuck in my head as I grew older.

It never went away but I learned to cope with it, and I handled it well for a while.

Before Ivy came into my life again.

"A-Aaron.." I said as I was trying to not cry. "Can we go somewhere else?"

He saw me trying not to cry as he nodded right away, grabbing my hand and leading me somewhere else, away from all the people.

Right then, we ended up walking out of the mall, and into a familiar neighborhood.

"W-Where are we going?"

"To my apartment. You wanted somewhere more private right?"

I nodded slowly. He let go of my hand and we went upstairs, as he unlocked his door to his apartment. "Come in."

I sat down on his couch, as I was embarrassed that I almost cried. I covered up my face in embarrassment, as I realized what just happened.

We held hands..

"Here," he said as I looked up to see him handing me water.

"Thanks.."

"Are you okay?" He asked me as he sat down, looking worried.

"Y-Yeah I'm fine. I just, remembered something that's all," I forced a smile, as I was trying hard to not cry.

"What's wrong?"

"Aaron I'm-

"I know something's wrong. I've known you for years and I now know when you lie. You can tell me."

I fell into silence as I was tensed up, not wanting him to see me so.. weak.

"If you don't want to, I understand. But, just know that whatever you're keeping to yourself, I would never hate you for it. You're my first friend that I managed to keep for so long."

I fell into shock as he looked serious and was telling the truth, about that.

Right then, I decided to stop keeping things to myself for once and let it all out.

The tears all came out and I was crying out loud, wanting to this for a while now.

I couldn't stop crying.

But..

All he did to make me feel so much better and finally feel safe,

Was to hold me close and wrap his arms to give me a hug,

And tell me. "It's okay, I'm here."
