Y/N
Standing outside of Garroth's door scared me more than anything. It was like an interview for a job.

Just as I was about to knock on the door, a boy who wasn't Garroth opened the door.

"Uh... Well this is awkward. Are you here for Garroth or something? Because I would be surprised if someone came for Zane.." He said out loud and looked at me afterwards. "So... Garroth and Laurance are upstairs. His room is the first one you see on the right. My mom is in the kitchen and Zane is in his room..." He said quickly and flashed me a smile. "Bye then..." And dashed out of the house, leaving me to go inside.

I took a deep breath before stepping in and closing the door behind me quickly. Right as I was about to go upstairs for Garroth and Laurance, a woman stopped me and we locked eyes before. "Hello! You must be my Gar Gar's project partner! Would you like a snack first dear?~" She said as her eyes sparkled.

What the heck?... Is that his mom? And did she call him Gar Gar?... Pfft... I wonder what she calls her other children.

"No thank you ma'am I'm fine."

"Oh my Irene aren't you adorable? So polite and generous... And also you look very intelligent! Oh the perfect one for my son! So, do you like him?" She said suddenly making me go a little red from embarrassment and the sudden question out of the blue.

"O-Oh no actually. We just met and er... We're not really that close. I barely speak to him," I said with a serious face.

"Oh dear. Gar Gar is going to be-

"MOM!" I heard a yell from upstairs as Garroth came downstairs with clothes that weren't our uniform.

"Oh Gar Gar!" His mom said full of joy. "This wonderful young lady was looking for you! Oh my Irene you should have dressed up nicely-

"Mom! We're not dating! Geez... And please don't call me Gar Gar when my friends are around... It's embarrassing..." He mumbled and turned away.

"Oh Gar Gar! Y/N has arrived!" Laurance said when he came downstairs. He smiled at me brightly and came down more steps down than Garroth.

"Laurance!" Garroth said and sighed.

"So, are you eating her some lovely flowers Gar Gar?? Oh my Irene she's so cute as well! Such a perfect match! I'm sure you'll love everything about her if you know what I mean," his mom said and winked.

Garroth's and mine's faces turned bright red as my eyes widened at the sudden sentence form her mouth.

"M-M-M-MOM! STOP EMBARRASSING ME! WE'RE JUST ORDINARY CLASSMATES THAT GOT PARTNERS IN A CLASS PROJECT!" Garroth said with a bright red face.

Laurance came closer to me and whispered in my ear, "And you said Aphmau is like our Fan girls because she blushes so much around us~" He stated while adding a deep tone in his voice.

My face became a little bit redder and I averted my eyes, embarrassed. "S-Shut up... I'm just embarrassed be Garroth's mom with her sudden sentence! I don't even care about that stupid... Idiot," I said and sighed.

"You said though that you wanted to get to know Garroth and I more~"

"Laurance shut up!" I said punching him away as he chuckled quietly.

"Oh dear don't tell me Laurance has taken your girl away from you..." She said with sparkling eyes that apparently had tears in them.

Laurance quickly blushed and looked away, but then the blush was gone and he looked at Garroth with a pleading look.

"Uh... Mom please don't get the wrong idea. We're just classmates and we're just trying to finish this class assignment. Her name is Y/N..." He groaned a little afterwards.

"Oh sweetie I guess you can't marry her then..."

"Mrs. Ro'meave I do feel rather uncomfortable..." I said truthfully but guilty.

"Oh sorry dear. I'll bring some cookies upstairs then afterwards~" She said and dashed into the kitchen.

"Just ignore my mom. She can be crazy sometimes..." Garroth mumbled and motioned for us to go upstairs into his bedroom.

When we went into his room, he closed the door and sat down on the bed, pulling out his laptop for the project. He then set his laptop aside afterwards and looked at me straight in the eye.

"W-What?..." I said a little nervous at the sudden eye contact he gave me.

"Can you please tell me the truth? Do you want to be friends or not?"

"...Can't we just-

"No."

"..." I scratched the back of my neck and sat uncomfortably but then sighed afterwards and looked at the wall instead. "I guess with all the past events that happened, I was scared of trying new things. Like getting close to people. I honestly am sorry... I do want to become friends with everybody, but I guess I just feel scared and thinking he worse..."

"You should feel apologetic. You need to realize other's feelings and how that would affect them."

I looked at the carpet of his room, and clenched my hand behind my back.

"...But no one is perfect after all. Considering the fact that you have dealt with lots of stuff in the past I guess. I'll forgive you under one condition," he said as I felt surprised at his sudden forgiveness.

"Don't hold everything inside you. Tell us everything. After all, we're friends, right?" He said and gave me a small smile.

My eyes widened a little and I could feel myself holding back tears. I averted my eyes quickly and pinched myself for the tears to go away.

Then, I felt an embrace of a hug that made me paralyze in place.

The tears stopped coming and I was realized from the hug.

"Let's go get some ice cream first actually. There's a nearby Ice cream shop we can go to," Laurance suggested as Garroth and I looked at each other and nodded.

"It's settled then! Garroth is paying!"

"What- No! Laurance you pay last time I payed!"

"Then Y/N pays!" Laurance said and smirked at me.

"Laurance just pay for today," Garroth rolled his eyes at the stubborn Laurance.

"Fine. But you treated us our next time Y/N," Laurance said and grabbed his wallet out of his pocket.

So...
