"Emily, this lamb is amazing." My mom commented as dinner had been going on for some time now. Jedean's mom smiled as she took a bite as well.

"It is, isn't it?" The older women shared a laugh as Daney was talking to Nathan.

"So you plan on being a lawyer?" He asked her as he took a bite of bread. Daney looked over to me then gave him a firm nod.

"Yes, I'm saving up for living expenses as we speak. I got a scholarship while I was in high school to ADMU." She said with a huge smile on her face.

I took a glance across the table over at Jedean, who was stuck next to the two hyper boys. The look on her face was annoyance, by what I could tell. I wasn't sure if it was because of this morning, or because Noel and Jade were flinging peas at her.

"ADMU? That's fantastic! Congratulations. Is it a full ride?" He was so intrigued; it kinda made me happy that a father like figure seemed to actually care what happened to us. I felt a swift kick to the stomach though.

"Sadly no, but there are a lot of grants and more scholarships I can apply for, so that's still ok. The scholarship I got covers for half of my tuition, which of course helps me out so much." She looked at mom who was now focused on their conversation, a tired smile on her feature.

"That's amazing, Daney. For as little time as we've known you, I want to say that I am indeed proud of you." Emily said as she offered Daney a wide smile as well. Daney said her thanks as she sunk back in her chair, probably hoping the attention will be turned on someone else.

"So, girls, you're graduating very soon. What schools are you applying to?" My mom asked Jedean and Myself. I looked over at Dean who was taking a sip of her drink.

"Well mom, you know I applied to ADU, ADMU, and UP little bit ago. I'm just waiting for letters now." I smiled.

"Those are good schools, what do you want to major in?" Nathan asked to my right. I looked over at him, but not without seeing Jedean's angered face.

"Uhm... well... I haven't really decided yet. I guess I want to make sure it's what I really want to do, before I make a full decision." I hope that answer didn't sound too... young and stupid.

"Well that's a smart choice; that means you get to take a lot of courses, broaden your horizons." Emily said as she gave Jedean a look.

"What about you Jedean?" My mother asked her. Jedean was about to open her mouth to speak when her mom spoke before her.

"Jedean is planning on going to UST, going to become a doctor just like her father." I watched as Jedean gave my mom a fake smile before taking a bite of her dinner. "Well enough about this, let's talk about the real reason why I asked you over.

Now Susan, we know how busy you are. And Jemma tells me you won't be able to make it to her tournament next week."

"Yeah, I never get to see her play anymore." She said in a solemn tone. I looked over and noticed Emily was smiling at her husband.

"We know, that's why we propose your entire family stay with us down in Batangas  at our beach House. It has plenty of rooms and a great view." Jedean's dad shared. I nearly choked on my water, Daney patting my back.

"Oh no no... it's alright really. I can't miss work..." I sighed as I slumped in my chair.

"We won't take no for an answer!" Emily smiled, "I've already arranged it with Nathan, we'll pay for you having to miss work." My moms head shot up.

"No! I can't let you do that..."

"Well, considering it would be our fault, I would feel obligated to. Besides, your daughter really wants you to watch her play, Susan." Nathan said as he looked at me. I bit my lip as I looked over to Jedean.

"Is that true? You want me to go that bad...?" Mom asked me. I sighed as I gave her a nod.
