—-Jemma POV—
"What are you doing...?" I asked her as I walked closer. She laughed as she held a bottle of wine in her other hand.
"I wanted to treat you, and to be honest; our families are driving me nuts with the whole, 'we're proud of you' bull shit." She said as she walked over to the passenger side door. I raised a brow at her as she opened my door, still smiling at me.
"This isn't because... of ... you know... last night right?" I asked as I stood there awkwardly.
She leaned against the car door, still waiting for me to get in, as she took her sunglasses off to look at me. She had a very... confusing yet serious look under her eyebrow.
I swallowed the lump in my throat as I walked over and took my seat, her closing the door. She looked me in the eye before walking over to her side and getting in. I grabbed the bottle from her and sat awkwardly as we drove off somewhere.
"It's not the reason..." She finally said after a few moments. I gave her a stern look before trying to see where we were.
"Oh... well..." She grabbed my hand, placing a kiss on it before smiling over to me.
Me? Well... I was blushing of course. I think that was the first time I've ever had my hand kissed.
"Did you uh... like it?" She asked after a few moments of silence, her driving down a dark road somewhere. I gave her a quick glance and nodded...
"Yeah... I did a lot actually. You were uh... great." I offered her a smile. "Where are we going though?" Not that I wanted to change the subject, but we were on a back road somewhere...? She laughed as she parked the car, turning it off, and getting out.
I smiled and rolled my eyes as my door flung open. "You don't have to do that, you know."
"Like I said, I want to treat you." She smiled as she put her sunglasses on the line of her shirt, making it dip between her chest.
I ran a hand through my hair as I let her grab the bottle from my hands; two glasses coming from nowhere and her other hand grabbing mine to pull me off somewhere. "I found this place a few years ago, when I got lost with a few friends. I wanted to come back here, to relax after games. But my friends thought it would be stupid and gay. I came here every night after the games to relax.
You have to see this..." She moved a bush out of the way and there before us was this beautiful High with flowers and trees. 'K... am I like... in the notebook or something?'
"Uh... wow..." was all I could really say. Jedean's hand brought be back down though and I looked at her and smiled.
"Pretty eh?" She said as we took a seat, her pouring the wine bottle. I couldn't help but laugh at her. She glared at me playfully though. "What's so funny?" She asked as she offered me a glass
Wine in a romantic setting, Jedean? This just..."
"Isn't me?" She laughed as she threw the bottle somewhere, the glasses as well. I smiled as we laid down, hand in hand.
"Not really, still cute though." We laughed as I closed my eyes, the tiredness of the day finally setting in me.
"Jemma?" Her voice sounded scared. I opened my eyes to see her staring down at me with a worried look.
"What's wrong?" I asked her as I sat up to meet her posture. She looked elsewhere before smiling.
"Nothing," she said as she laid back down on her back, leaving me to be sitting up looking awkward. "I guess I got carried away is all." I looked down at her before rolling my eyes and laying down next to her.
