Jedean's Point of View:
"God... I feel like I got hit by a truck." I breathed a sigh of relief as I helped her sit up.
We could hear the crowd of parents cheer as I helped her stand.
"God... that scared the hell out of me..." I truthfully said as I helped her balance. She grabbed her head as she shook it.
"Ugh... Jedean... I'm so dizzy." She said as she wobbled slightly. I cringed as I helped her over to Loyola Heights's bench.
Some dude from the medical tent came running over, checking her eyes and her spine.
I chewed on my finger nails as I took a look at her family. Mrs. Miller looked as if she was about to faint, Noel was being held back by Jade as he looked like he wanted to kill someone, and Daney... Well she looked calm and reserved. I turned back to see Jemma shove away the medical guy.
She closed her eyes as she went to stand up. I rushed to her side as I slipped under her arm to hold her as she lost her balance. Her coach threw the playbook on the ground as he roared at the Ref.
"How are we supposed to play now?! My best player is out of commission!" He yelled.
I sat Jemma back down as I watched her face turn angry.
"You have got to be kidding me! I've gotten knocked down harder and I've never been this dizzy!" She said as she looked up at me. I turned back to see Marie smiling over to me.
"I'm sorry, but you need to put in a substitute, 7 is not fit to play anymore." The ref said as he blew the whistle again. "You have 5 minutes to pick."
Jemma's Coach sighed and walked back over to the rest of the girls. I looked down at Jemma who looked depressed as she stared up at me.
"This is total bullshit, Dean! Why the fuck did that girl do that?! She knew it would take her out of the game..." I looked back at Marie to see her leaning back against the bench.
I turned back to Jemma with a smile on my face.
"I'll be right back." I said as I walked off towards Marie.
I could hear Jemma fuss but I didn't care about that right now. I was angry as hell, though I tried my best not to show it.
As I made it back over to my teams side I could hear Sam and other's ask if Jemma was okay and so on, but they weren't my concern. I stood in front of Marie as she looked up at me with a smug grin.
"Bet she feels lovely, eh? Awe, she must be a bit dizzy! Your precious baby can't play no more! Awe poor Jedean!" She said as she rolled her eyes and laughed.
I balled up my fists in anger as I closed my eyes.
"Why did you do that?" I asked, trying my best to control my anger. I looked over to see that every one of our team's mates was looking at us now.
Marie glared up at me as she stood up right in front of me, our faces rather close now.
"Because, I knew that if I take out their best player, that not only will our team win the tourney, but that it'll crus-." I don't even let her finish talking, I swung at her.
My hand was killing me now as I grabbed it. The girls around us gasped as Marie fell to the floor, holding her face in agony. I crouched down in front of her.
"If you ever, even think something bad about Jemma again, I'll do so much more than ruin your ugly ass face." I said calmly as I stood up and turned around only to see a red card in my face. I rolled my eyes and walked back over to Jemma, ignoring that my coach and team mates were calling after me.
I shook my hand as I tried to shake away the dull pain as well.
She looked at me stunned, about to stand up. I rushed over to her though and took a seat next to her, her entire team staring at me strangely.
"What...?"
"You are aware you just punched your own team mate, right? That and you're red carded..." Jemma said as she shook her head again. I shrugged my shoulders though as her team mates came over to me now.
"Why'd you do that? You guys had the upper hand! Now you can't even play!" A girl said next to me.
I turned to her and rolled my eyes. The coach of Loyola Heights came over and offered Jemma an ice pack for her back. I took it for her and instructed her to lean forward. She blushed beet red, but moved forward. I smiled at her as I lifted her shirt slightly and slipping the ice pack up.
"I'm not going to tolerate such a dirty move like that.
I probably... shouldn't have punched her, but I figured, if Loyola Heights doesn't have their best player, then neither is CSA High. It's fair this way." I explained as I leaned Jemma back. She whined slightly then sighed as she looked at me.
"Oh Yeah? Well I highly doubt the SouthPhil Coach is going to even look at you now, Jedean! Way to go!" Jemma pouted next to me. I looked to her and smiled.
"Oh well, I'm probably going to get kicked off the team anyway, and to be honest I don't care, I know I'm still going to get a sponsorship anyway."
Before anyone could even say anything, the ref came running over.
"You're suspended from the game number 3, and you can't sit ov-." Before I even let him finish I slipped my jersey over my head and tossed it to him.
"Now I can."
Jemma gawked at me as I sat there in my tank top.
I winked to her, loving the pink on her cheeks.
The ref glared at me as he demanded the game to continue.
Jemma's Coach shook his head at me as he ordered his players to get their ass back out there.
I watched the game continue without me, and strangely... I was okay with that.
Jemma rested her head on my shoulder as she leaned against me. My hand felt like it was on fire, I was hoping I didn't break it on that bitches face. 'I can't believe today's event's...'
"I know that look." Jemma said out of nowhere. I looked down at her slightly then back to the game.
"What look?" I asked nonchalantly.
"The one where you're thinking too much."
"Yeah well, it's been a crazy 24 hours." I said honestly as I fought the urge to wrap my arms around her tightly. I watched as Sam dug out and got the ball back from some girl on Jemma's team.
"I may be loopy from my fall, but I loved that 1st half we played together, you're definitely better than I am." She said as she closed her eyes. I rolled my eyes and smiled at her silliness. I leaned down slightly so I could whisper into her ear.
"No babe, you're so much better. And, I think you definitely have a spot on the SouthPhil team." I said as I pulled back.
I could feel her tense up as she looked up at me and smiling. I couldn't help but laugh at her.
