Chapter 73: Planning!

4 years after.....

Jemma looked at the calendar, at today's date and smiled a little. It had been 4 years today since Jedean and she got together. She'd moved in with Jedean not so long ago.

Jemma had remembered that today was their anniversary, obviously, and she'd give her something later that night like she had last year.

She glanced at Jedean hoping that she'd like it and headed out the room thinking about breakfast and headed downstairs to get it before the Resto Bar was due to open.

She'd finished up school about a year ago and decided to help out with the Resto Bar that Jedean's owned, more, especially since they decided to start opening early in the mornings.

Bannie and Daney had come in a little earlier than what they usually would have.

"Morning My Dear BFF Jemma." Bannie greeted her.

"Good Morning." She replied as she picked out something simple to eat, she couldn't be bothered to make anything.

"Jedean still in bed?"

"I think so, I woke up earlier than she did."

"I see. Daney's setting up the tables."

"I'll go and help her. I just need to get changed first. Back in a bit."

"Alright." Daney replied returning to her usual duties.

Jemma ran upstairs and into the room, quickly taking her own outfit from the cupboard and got dressed into it. She looked down at the still sleeping Jedean and smiled gently.

She looked so cute when she was sleeping.

Upstairs in the bedroom Jedean stirred awake, she stretched an arm across to Jemma's side expecting to hug her, only to find that there was no Jemma however.

'Where's she gone?' She asked herself pouting at the same time. She yawned and sat up still in thought then it struck her, the weekend was over and the Resto Bar would be due to open soon, and she was feeling too lazy to wake up properly but she had no choice but to.

With a relieved sigh she slipped out of the covers fully and headed for the shower.

Twenty minutes later she emerged from the bathroom and got dressed and then headed downstairs, which by this time the Resto Bar was open and Bannie and Jemma were busy serving people and taking orders. Julia, Kate and Camille weren't due to start work until later that day so Jedean would be helping the girls out for a few hours.
Jemma grinned a little as she spotted Jedean heading to the kitchen and she quickly finished clearing up a table and headed through to the kitchen after her.

"I see you're finally awake." Jemma spoke from the swinging doors almost making her jump.

"Yeap. I didn't realize that you were already up and getting to work." She grinned in reply to her lover's remark.

"Hey, are you calling me lazy Jedean?"

"Nope, of course not."

"Good. Can you come and help soon?" She asked as she heard Bannie shout on her from the Resto Bar.

"Yeap, I'll be there in a tick." She smiled. With a warm smile back from Jemma she was off and serving people, meanwhile Jedean was wanting to discuss some matters with Daney.

"You'll never believe what I'm planning." Jedean began while seating herself on the table.

"What won't I believe?" asked Daney.

"I'm planning-"

"Daney you've got a big order here," Bannie interrupted while handing the slip of paper to her and walked out.

"Alright, I'll get right on it...you were saying Jedean?" She asked as she got to work on the big order, there was a big group obviously in today.

"Well, I've been thinking about it for the past few months...and I've decided that I'm goi-"

"Jedean, Jemma's needing your help, here's another order for you Daney."

Jedean muttered something under her breath before answering Bannie politely.

"Thanks. I will be through shortly."

"Alright."

"Ok, maybe you can be third time lucky." Daney laughed motioning for Jedean to continue.

"Right, sure I will. I'm planning on proposing to Jemma."

"Really,"

"Well yeah. We've been living together for what, a year?"

"True. Well I'm sure that she won't disagree to it."

"I know, do you think I should maybe surprise her or something?" Jedean asked, she was actually nervous about this. Daney stopped doing what she was doing momentarily to think about that, she thought Jemma would be overjoyed either way she did it.

"If you want to, maybe you could do it through surprise."

"Yeah, I think I will. Now the question is how?"

"How about a random party?"

"The occasion?" Jedean asked.

"Well it is your 4 years anniversary of being together."

"WHAT?" Jedean asked...quite loudly.

"You mean you forgot?" Daney asked raising a brow.

"No, no, I just forgot what date it was..." Jedean said. Of course she hadn't forgotten, she'd got the dates mixed up, she thought it was tomorrow, but it wasn't...what was she to do?

She hadn't got anything...maybe she could disappear for a bit longer when she went out to get a certain ring, yes, that would buy her enough time to get something for her before she proposed.

"I'll get her something when I go out for the, you-know-what. We could just hold a party after we close up, you can let the girls know."

"Sure, will you be going just now?"

"I'm gonna have to aren't I?"

"Hmm, ok. Just don't take forever, Jemma will get worried about you."

"I'll be back before you know it." Jedean replied as she got up to leave to the front of the Resto Bar.

Daney smiled a little watching her leave and got back to her own duties again, waiting for Bannie to appear she'd tell her to tell the girls when they got there.
