Finally, we were on our way to our amazing vacation with the Tan Family.
I sighed in contentment as I leaned against the headrest, looking back at the boys who were distracted by a cartoon Jedean had put on for them. I felt Jedean's hand slide into mine, drawing my attention to her, a blush on my face.
"Are you alright?" She asked with a gently squeeze of my hand. I closed my eyes as I leaned my head against the window, noting that her parent's Tahoe was much behind us. 'She so speeds.'
"I'm fine, are you?" I asked as I squeezed her hand as well. I gave her a quick glance and notice she was smiling. I felt her thumb rubbing along mine.
"I'm wonderful. So, you excited for all the games we're going to playing?" I groaned as I pulled my hand away and covered my face.
"We, are going to be so tired." I laughed.
Jedean beamed me a smile as she got over a lane.
"That's fine with me. Besides, they had to cut it back a week, because a lot of the teams only have one week for spring break. So, we won't really get the chance to play every team obviously."
"Oh yeah, I was looking at that this morning. They made it an eliminating tournament." Dean scoffed as she took an exit. I looked around to see we were only in San Jose.
"Uh... why are you getting off here?" I asked as I noticed she was taking side streets now.
"Well, there is this little place I wanted to stop and get a donut at. They make the best ones..." She said as if she was in a dreamy state of mind. I took my sunglasses off and gave her a shocked look.
"Seriously...?" I asked with a smile on my face. She tossed me a quick smile and shrugged her shoulders.
"Dead serious."
We were there only like 5 minutes, Jedean not getting one donut, but an entire baker dozen.
I shook my head at her as we headed back onto the freeway, now behind our parents. It took probably another hour and a half to finally get to Batangas.
The boys were starting to get so restless, so I was so thankful when we pulled up to the coastline of homes. 'Holycrap...' she smiled as she pulled up to a beautiful beachside home.
There were flowers and tropical plants and tress surrounding it, giving a nice privacy to it even though it had neighbours.
Jedean and I unbuckled the boys, who immediately went to the beach.
"Yay!" They screamed in unison. I smiled as I closed my jacket and followed them down the path to the ocean. I think this was the first time ever that Noel has seen the ocean, I couldn't really remember. Jedean, wearing only her tank top and shorts, came up behind me and wrapped her arms around me.
I closed my eyes as I leaned into her, sighing happily. 'What if Daney was right? What if I do like you... Jedean... would you like me too? Do I risk telling you?'
"I'm so glad you'll be staying with me during our spring break..." Jedean whispered into my ear. I felt a shiver creep down my spine. I turned my head and smiled up at her. I pulled out of her arms and grabbed her hands
"Thank you for inviting me." I smooth talked to her as I walked us down slowly to the water where I saw Noel and Jade making huge uneven sand castles.
Jedean eyed me suspiciously with a grin on her face. As we got to the part where the water kissed the top of the sand, I stopped.
"What are you doing?" She asked curiously. I dug my hands in her pockets, earning an squeal from her. I took out her phone, wallet, and iTouch. Before she could say anything, I tossed them on the beach and leaned up to give her a quick kiss. She smiled down at me. "Jemma-." She didn't have time to finish that as I yanked on her arms and shoved her into the freezing cold water.
