"Mind if I join in?" A familiar girly voice said behind me. I turned around to see Jemma standing there with her practice uniform still clinging to her.

I smiled as I tossed the ball to her. Before she could even catch it though, she was side tackled by the 'wild animals' causing me to laugh my ass nearly off.

"Holy crap!"

"We got her!" They said as they stood up, high fiving each other and running back into the house. Jemma rubbed the back of her neck as I offered her a hand back up.

"Rough sport eh?" I smirked as she glared playfully at me.

"I'll say. So, your mom totally saved mine today." She said as she kicked the ball from knee to knee, her eyes focused on me. 'What a show off'

"How so?" I asked as I stole the ball and juggled the ball with my feet.

"My mom was in a major bind this afternoon, and I was at practice and Noel's babysitter was at work so no one was able to pick up Noel.  So, I told her to call your mom and see if she can watch him and she did. Your mom is amazing." She said with a smile. I smirked at her as I kicked the ball over to her, us now standing a few yards from one another as we passed the ball back and forth, seeing who could get it by the other one.

"Well that's good. My mom loves having him over."

"That's a relief actually." She sighed as she put her hair up into a hair tie, being serious now.

"Why is that?"

"Well... most of Noel's babysitters are like... I don't know they can't handle his hyperness... but Jade seems to be just as hyper so it's really good they made real good friends you know?"

"Do you ever babysit?"

"I do the majority of the time, but mom knows I need my space and soccer is the only way to vent my stress out as well as her."

"You know, I bet my mom wouldn't mind watching him after school till we're done with practice. Then you come pick him up afterwards." Is it strange to say I was actually hoping to see her all the time? She smiled a huge bright smile as she dribbled the ball back and forth before passing.

"That would be cool, that way we can hang out as well." She smiled at me.

"Oh, so you're not still weirded out?" I asked, I felt my stomach actually feel queasy as I watched her expression.

"No... I figured you were just being a dork so I ignored it." She said as she popped the ball off her chest a few times.

I sighed as I rolled my eyes, lucky for me she didn't notice. "So, are you guys going to the tournament next month? It's during spring break."

"Oh, I forgot about that. It's in Batangas isn't it?" I asked as I took a break, my legs hurting from the over use today. I laid on the ground throwing the ball in the air and catching it. She looked hesitant at first be sided to laid down next to me on the grassy patch.

"Er... yeah. It's gonna be all of Philippines best teams. Even out of school teams are gonna compete. It'll be pretty badass. Plus, the two regions are gonna have an interesting game where NorthPhil's best players play on the same team and SouthPhil's best player's play. It'll be pretty epic.

I bet we could make the SouthPhil Team." She commented as she looked over to me with a small smile.

I felt my brows connect as I felt my heart tug slightly. I sat up quickly and ran a hand through my hair in frustration. 'Damn...'

"What?"

"Uhm, nothing."

"Uh... alright then." We sat awkwardly for a few minutes. I tried to open my mouth to say something but just couldn't think of what to say to her. I was tongue tied for the first time in my life and I was hating it to my core. She just sat there with her arms draping over her knees, looking elsewhere.

"Girls." My dad's voice came from the sliding glass door. I looked over to him. "It's time to eat."

"Alright, we'll be in in a moment." I told him as I stood up, brushing off the grass off my gym clothes.

"Are you sure you want us to stay for dinner...?" Jemma asked me as she stood up as well. I turned her and smiled.

"Well yeah...?"

"Well you're acting really weird."

"How can you tell?" I asked as I kicked the ball to the mini goal I had.

"Your body language." She said as she walked in my house. I grinded my teeth as I sighed in annoyance. 'This girl has got me all figured out, yet I can't figure her out at all...'
