'What the heck?!' My thought had hit straight home. What the hell was going on with me? I grabbed at my t-shirt as I tried to feel my heartbeat. It was beating so fast, I felt like it was going to actually... well beat to death.
The oceanic cool breeze swept up my hair and cooled down my heated body, thank god.
I looked over my shoulders to see Jemma making herself busy by peeling and cutting the rest of the potatoes. I cringed as I watched her work, her face flushed. 'Ugh... I'm actually, literally completely, lost for you Jemma...' I hit my hand on the railing as I leaned my head on it. 'How the hell did I let this happen? Fallen for a straight girl? Sure I may be able to get her to make out with me, but I highly doubt she'd want me in that way...' I heard the sliding glass door open and close, but didn't bother to turn around.
I smelled a familiar perfume and smirked as I realized it was Jemma's older sister."Aren't you the one that is supposed to be cooking?"
She asked as she took a seat on the railing, not seeming to care that we were above a rocky cliff side that was well over 20 feet high. I gave her a look before turning to look up at the taller and older girl.
"Jemma explained to me that I was doing it wrong. Besides, it looks like she likes it." I said truthfully as I watched her happily cutting up broccoli. I felt a smile warm on my face I probably looked at her too long. I looked back over to Daney and noticed a strange smile and glint.
"What?"
"So, when are you going to tell her you like her?" She asked as she smirked at my now stunned look. "It's obvious for me. I can read people really well."
I rolled my eyes as I took a seat on the patio furniture.
"You and her are exactly the same. Aside from the hair colour and you being taller." I laughed. She shrugged her shoulders.
"So, when?" She asked. I gave her a stock look and looked back out to the ocean. I took a sigh as I tried to think about that...
Should I tell her? I mean, wouldn't that just get thrown in my face?"No, It wouldn't."
"K, what the hell. Can you read my mind or something?" I gave her a blank, yet amused look. She smiled as she hopped off the railing as she leaned up against it. She didn't speak for a while as she just looked up me. I got a tad bit agitated at this and pulled my legs up to basically protect myself from nothing.
"Nah, I can't read minds. It was just the look on your face. As for my question?" She asked again. I gave her a subtle glance before sighing, leaning my head against the chair.
"Most likely not. That wouldn't exactly get me anywhere." I scoffed as I played with my hair, twirling it on my finger.
I heard her offer a small laugh as she walked back to the door.
"That's not what I heard."
"...Wait... wh-." Before I could stop her though, she was already inside and shutting the door on me.
How rude! How can someone say something... so confusing and exciting like that then leave you guessing till you blew up from frustration? I leaned back in my chair as I let her words sink into me like a god damn poison. 'That's not what I heard...' What did you hear then?!
Dinner was amazing. I don't even think my own mother can cook that good and my mom can cook...
I think she even knew it too. She kept giving Jemma this somewhat envious look as she commented on the meal every now and then. Which of course made Jemma disagree with her and said she cooked better. I think that gave my mom a little ego boost? Ah who gives a shit.
I took my iTouch out and placed it in my docking station/ Alarm clock. I set my alarm tomorrow for seven a.m. I had some interesting plans for her and I tomorrow and I didn't want our parents to hold us back. Daney's words were still greatly affecting me, and I knew she could tell while I sat there quietly throughout dinner.
I turned around to see Jemma pulling some of her clothes out of her suitcase to put in the three drawers I had set aside for her. I watched as she placed her jerseys and shirts in one drawer, her jeans in another, and her bra and panties and socks in the other one. Is it weird that I just like to watch her...? Damned.
"Are you almost done?" I asked her as I yawned, leaning against my desk. She looked up from her work as she zipped up the bag and tossed it in the corner.
"Uh... yeah... I'm done now... do you uh... wanna go to bed?" I tried to study her face. Her expression was telling me that she was scared to actually get into bed with me. I felt something crush in my ribcage as I looked away from her. I walked over to the bed and grabbed two of my pillows and the top comforter, heading for the door.
"Wait, where are you going?!" She asked hurriedly, pulling my free arm and shutting my bedroom door again. I turned and looked at her and rolled my eyes, dropping my stuff on the floor.
