Jemma's Point of View:

"Jemma! What are you doing?! Run left! Oh my god!" I could hear my coach yelling. I rolled my eyes though as I ignored his calls. As if I didn't know what I was doing... come on now, give me more credit than that coach.

I was dodging these girls left and right, even though we were down by two goals. That's okay, I'll make up for that in just a moment... my breathe was even as I closed my eyes, dodging another girl as I wrapped the ball around her legs and over her I went.

My eyes were focused on the goal line in front of me, aim, and score. I smiled over to my team mates as they ran by me, patting me on the back as we ran back up field.

Let's just say, my team was very excited we weren't sent packing after first game. I was pretty happy too actually, except for the amount of sweat I was producing... yuck. I looked at the field next to us and smiled when I saw Jedean running through girls like it was nothing. I waved to my coach, who didn't like my leaving in the middle of his 'Good game' speech, but I didn't really care at this point in time right now. I jogged over to the tents, leaning against them as I watched her play.

"Did you win your first game?" I heard a girly young voice ask next to me. I looked down to my left and saw a brown hair teenage girl sitting there icing her ankle. I smiled at her then turned my head back over to Jedean.

"Yeah, by two goals. What happened to you?" I asked as I gave her a quick glance. She had the same jersey as Jedean...

"Some bitch slid right into my ankle. Instead of falling, my ankle dug into the ground and well... yeah... I'm so pissed! First game of the tourney and I'm already out..." She said with a pout. I watched Jedean dance around players, obviously not noticing I was standing here. I took a seat next to the brown hair girl and took a look at her foot.

"How bad is it?" I asked as I pulled the ice off it. Though, I regretted doing so the minute I saw the gross purple colour it had turned... "Wow... dear god that must hurt... I'm sorry."
She shrugged her shoulders as she finally looked over to me, letting me see her face. She was a cute girl, that's for sure.

"Nah, it's no big deal." She gave me a smile. "Ok yeah, it hurt like a bitch." We shared a mutual laugh as I wiped the sweat off my face.

"Hot day hm?"

"God yes... I'm so exhausted already." I smiled as I fixed my hair tie. She nodded in response.

"She really is an amazing player..." I heard her say as she watched the field as well. I looked over to where she was looking and couldn't but smile as we watched Jedean head butt the ball away from a player. "She's amazing period actually."

She sighed as she watched Jedean in awe. I gave her a curious look before hearing my name being called over.

"Well, I have to go now. It was nice meeting you... I didn't catch your name." I said as I stood up and gave her a small smile. She laughed as she waved me off.

"I'm Jules. It was nice meeting you, Jemma." I smiled at her as I waved back, heading back over to my team. 'She was sure nice... why can't Jedean be that nice...? Oh yeah, then she wouldn't be Jedean.'

I rolled my eyes and smiled at that thought as I jogged back over to my team.

----------------------- At Home--------------

"You girls' did wonderful today!" Mom said with a beaming smile as she cut into her steak dinner. I gave Jedean a look who rolled her eyes and winked at me.

"Thanks mom..." I said with a smile.

"Yeah! Jedean I saw how you kicked the ball over some girls head and she fell and you ran and got the ball back! It was so cool!" Noel smiled his toothless grin.

I just want to say, that I think you two are definitely going to make it on the SouthPhil team. I mean, you did last year Jedean, so no problems this year, right?" Nathan said as he pointed his fork at her. She shrugged her shoulders as she smiled over to me.

"Can I be excused?" She asked as she stood up to leave, not even bothering for an answer. Emily looked at my mom for a moment and smiled.

She's probably exhausted. So, who wants some cake?" I watched Jedean grab her sunglasses and keys, making her way for the front door and out of it. I felt my jaw tighten and unhinge as I placed my napkin back on the table and getting up to go after her.

I ignored the calls the parents gave out to me as I shut the door behind me, running up the pathway to the driveway.

I stopped in my tracks when I noticed Jedean leaning against the hood of her Dodge; sunglasses on and ear-buds in her ears. A smile gracing her lips as she noticed me.
