Beep Beep Beep went the alarm clock in John and Derek's bedroom. It was Derek's turn to shut off the alarm. John sat up in his bed and rubbed his eyes.
"Good Morning Derek" said John stretching his arms.
"Morning! how did you sleep?" Derek asked while taking off his pajamas and putting them in his laundry hamper.
"Good how did you sleep?" asked John while he got out of bed.
"Good I'm a little nervous about my first day of middle school." Derek said while picking out one of his new clothes to wear.
"Me to but I'm sure after a couple of months we'll get use to the routine".
Derek wore a red short sleeved shirt with blue skinny jeans and black sneakers, John wore a dark blue shirt with khakis and gray sneakers and Dawn wore a light pink blouse with black skinny jeans and pink ballet flats with her blonde hair tied into a ponytail with a pink ribbon.
After breakfast Mr and Mrs Hart gave them each lunch money, gave them a hug and kiss goodbye and walked to the corner of the street to meet Christy there so they can walk to school together.
Luckily for Derek, Christy lived around the corner from them. Christy walked to the street corner wearing a light purple t-shirt, blue skinny jeans and beige sneakers.
"Hey guys" said Christy giving them a group hug.
"Hey Christy you look lovely I like your outfit" said Dawn.
"Thank you Dawn I love your outfit to, you've always had great taste in clothes" said Christy.
"Dawn is right, Christy you really do look amazing " said John.
"You look great in anything " said Derek.
The four friends walked 3 blocks to Green Hill Middle School and went to the cafeteria and waited for orientation to start.
