It was the second day of eighth grade and Derek and Christy were waiting to get their essays back from Mr. Sullivan.

"Good Morning Class." said Mr. Sullivan.

"Morning Mr. Sullivan." said the class.

"Before we get started I'm handing back your essays you did in class yesterday." said Mr. Sullivan.

He took the essays out from the drawer in his desk and went around the students and gave back the essays.

Derek and Christy decided to look at their papers at the end of class.

An hour later, the bell rang and the students got up from their seats to head off to their next class.

Derek and Christy walked out of the classroom and looked at their essay papers.

"It's the moment of truth." said Christy.

"On the count of three we'll look together." said Derek.

"Ok." said Christy.

"Ready? One Two Three." said Derek.

The couple looked at their papers to their surprise, they both got A's and Mr. Sullivan even drew a smiley face at the top of the papers.

"Yes we passed." said Derek.

"That's great now that's over I can focus on getting on the swim team." said Christy.

"I'll meet you at lunch at our table sweetie." said Christy.

"It's a deal I'll see you later." said Derek.
