Thanksgiving vacation was over and the Hart kids were getting ready for school. They grabbed their backpacks and headed out the door. Christy was standing at the corner of their meeting spot. And the four friends walked to school together.
"Hey guys how was the rest of your vacation?" asked Christy.
"It was good we set up our own babysitting business." said Dawn.
"That's nice, did you guys get any customers?" Christy asked.
"We did. We babysat The Williams' baby girl while her parents were out on date night." said Derek.
"That's good." said Christy.
Dawn's cellphone buzzed and she took it out of her back pocket to see what it was.
"Oh it's only a reminder from Mr. Baxter. He said that it's tech week meaning that we're working with the lights and sound effects tonight." said Dawn.
Derek checked his cellphone and pulled up the email.
"You're right and it also says that we have to be at rehearsal at six o'clock and we're not leaving until ten o'clock." said Derek as he looked at his cellphone.
"We better text mom and dad about tech week rehearsal." said Dawn.
Dawn texted her parents and said that it's tech week and that they'll be home at ten.
Mrs. Hart texted back saying "Ok I'll leave you snacks and make sure you have dinner before rehearsal."
Dawn replied with ok and that they'll see her after rehearsal.
The bell rang and the four friends went off to their classes and planned to meet in the cafeteria for lunch.
