It's the morning of Senior Prom and the kids were in the kitchen having breakfast.

"What time are your barbershop appointments?" asked Mrs. Hart.

"Eleven Thirty." said Derek as he put his dirty dishes in the sink.

"We can take my car to our hair salon and nail appointments." said Christy as she picked up her juice glass.

"Ok and my mom is picking up the corsages and the boutonnières for us." added Dawn.

The girls walked to Christy's house and opened the garage door.

The door opened and the girls got in the car.

They drove to their beauty appointment at Curls Night Out.

The girls arrived at the salon and waited to be called by the hairdresser.

Fifteen minutes later, Christy, Rachel and Dawn got called by the hairdressers and told them what they want for hairstyles.

Christy decided to have her hair down and curled, Dawn decided to have her hair in a fancy updo and Rachel decided to have her hair in a half ponytail.

After their hairstyles were all done, the girls payed and went to get their nails done at Nails on a Chalkboard Nail Salon.

Christy is getting her nails painted red, Dawn is getting her nails painted baby blue and Rachel is getting her nails painted dark blue.

They picked up the nail polish colors and sat at the nail polish tables.

Thirty five minutes later, their nails are all polished and the girls paid for their manicures.

The girls walked back to Christy's car and checked the time on their cellphones.

The time was twelve thirty which meant the girls had plenty of time to have lunch at The Sock Hop Diner and relax before they had to go back to Dawn's house to get changed into their prom dresses.

They got their burgers, fries and milkshakes to go and ate their lunch in the car.

Christy's cellphone buzzed and it was a text message from her mom that said "I got Derek's boutonnière."

Christy texted back saying "Thanks Mom."

Mrs. Walker texted back saying "You're welcome honey."

The girls finished their lunch and drove to Christy's house to pick up Derek's boutonnière.

Fifteen minutes later, Christy got to her house and went inside to pick up the boutonnière.

"Hey honey. Derek's boutonnière is in the refrigerator on the top shelf." said Mrs. Walker as she looked up from her laptop.

"Ok thanks mom." said Christy as she opened the refrigerator door.

Christy saw a little plastic box that contained a red rose boutonnière that had a safety pin on the back and had white babies breath  around it.

Christy went back to her car where her friends were waiting and drove back to Dawn's house.

The girls got there and went inside to relax until quarter of five.

Christy put the boutonnière in Dawn's refrigerator next to the corsages.

The door opened and the boys came in and saw Christy closing the refrigerator.

"No sneak peaks at the corsage." Derek said in a playful voice.

"I was putting your boutonnière in the refrigerator." said Christy.

"Ok." said Derek as he kissed Christy's cheek.

John and Steve were holding their tuxedos in their hands and went to his and Derek's bedroom to relax until quarter of five.

The kids went into the bedrooms and watched tv until they decided it was time to get changed.

Four hours later, the kids got changed into their prom outfits and put on their accessories.

Dawn did the girls makeup at her vanity table and she gaved Christy red lipstick to match her dress.

The girls were ready their hair and makeup done, dresses and accessories on and cellphones fully charged and ready for prom selfies.

The girls came downstairs and took their plastic boxes of boutonnières out of the refrigerator.

Two seconds later, the boys came downstairs and they looked very handsome in their black tuxedos.

"You look beautiful babe." said Derek.

"Thank you and I love how you matched my dress." said Christy as she opened the plastic box.

Christy pinned the red rose on Derek's right lapel on his tuxedo jacket.

Derek opened the refrigerator and took out a box that contained a red rose corsage with white babies breath tied with a gold ribbon.

"You look lovely Rach." said John as he opened her corsage box.

"Thank you." said Rachel as she held out her wrist.

John's boutonnière was a white rose and had a safety pin on the back.

Rachel's corsage had white roses and a dark blue ribbon tied around it.

Just then the doorbell rang and Mrs. Hart went to answer it.

"Hello Steve you look very handsome in your tuxedo." said Mrs. Hart.

"Thank you." said Steve.

Dawn's jaw dropped when she saw her boyfriend in his black tuxedo and baby blue vest and necktie.

"You look hot babe." said Dawn  as she opened the plastic box.

"Thanks and you look amazing." said Steve as he opened the corsage box.

With everyone wearing their corsages and boutonnières, their parents took a few pictures on their cellphones.

Mrs. Hart drove the kids to the high school and told them to call when they get home from the hotel.

The Senior Prom is at The Moonlight Hotel and it had a indoor glass elevator and indoor water fountain.

Derek held the door open for his friends and they walked into the school and waited for the party buses to drive them to the hotel.
