It was May and tonight is Jr. Prom. The Hart kids and their dates were waiting for noon dismissal to come so they could start getting ready for their Jr. Prom.

So far, their classes didn't  give them homework tonight because it was prom and it would be late for them to get started on it when they got home.

The bell rang and everyone went to their lockers to get their belongings.

Dawn, Christy and Rachel were on their way to Curls Night Out to get their hair done for prom.

John, Derek and Steve walked to the bus stop to go to the Barbara Anne Barbershop.

Dawn decided to get a half-updo, Christy decided to have her hair in a fancy updo and Rachel decided to let her hair down and have it curled.

The girls looked at their reflections in the mirrors and loved their hair.

They paid for their hair and drove back home to relax before it was time to get ready for the prom.

The girls went into Dawn's bedroom and decided to watch tv until quarter of five.

Mrs. Steinberg said that all Jr.'s had to be at the school by quarter of five so they can be there before the party bus arrives.

Their dresses were laid flat on Dawn's bed so they were ready for when it was time for the girls to get changed.

Dawn heard the front door open and it was her mom with her brothers and boyfriend.

"Girls we're back." said Mrs. Hart.

"We're in my room watching tv." said Dawn.

"Ok." said Mrs. Hart.

It was four fifteen and the girls decided to get changed into their dresses.

Dawn did her friends makeup at her vanity table. She gave each of the girls pink lipstick for them to put in their purses for touch ups.

Mrs. Hart was kind enough to let Dawn borrow her pink diamond necklace and bracelet for prom. Christy helped Dawn put on the necklace so it wouldn't get caught in her hair.

Dawn looked at her reflection in the mirror and couldn't believe how the necklace and bracelet sparkled in the light of her vanity mirror.

Christy peeked through the crack of Dawn's door and saw Derek in his tuxedo holding a plastic box that contained a beautiful white rose corsage with a lilac purple ribbon.

"Hey John mind if I borrow your cologne?" asked Derek.

"Sure." said John as he straightened his necktie.

The boys decided to wait downstairs for the girls to make their big entrance when Mr and Mrs. Hart started to take pictures with their cellphones.

Christy's dad was sick in bed with a cold and her mom was working at her law firm and wouldn't be back in time for pictures. Luckily, Mrs. Hart is gonna forward the pictures to them on their cellphones.

Two minutes later the girls were dressed, hair and makeup done, jewlery and perfume on and cellphones fully charged ready for perfect prom selfies.

Christy was first to come down the stairs, Derek stared at her as her dress swayed at her feet as she walked down the steps.

"You look like a Princess." said Derek as he opened the plastic box with Christy's corsage.

"Thank you and I love how your necktie and your vest match my dress." said Christy as she held her wrist out.

Dawn came down next in her dress and Steve's jaw dropped as she was stepped down on the living room floor.

"You look amazing sweetie." said Steve.

"Thank you and you look great to." said Dawn as she picked up the light pink boutonnière.

Rachel was the last one to make it down the stairs. She wore a black one shoulder mermaid styled dress with matching heels.

John was speechless when he saw his girlfriend in that dress.

"You look lovely." said John as he put her corsage on her wrist.

The corsage was very beautiful it was all red roses tied with a black ribbon.

The kids got with their dates and stood to get their pictures taken.

After the photo op, Mr. Hart drove the kids to the school.
