The whole entire senior year is almost over and the Hart kids and their significant others are practicing walking across the stage to receive their diplomas.
The students got measured for their caps and gowns before they practiced walking.
Mrs. Steinberg got up to the podium and started reciting the speech for graduation in three weeks.
Derek and Dawn were sitting with the chorus kids because they're gonna be singing at the ceremony.
The song that the chorus is singing is Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson which fit perfectly into graduation because it symbolized that even though everyone has a different path they're following after they graduate they'll never forget where they live.
After everyone who wasn't in the chorus left, Derek and Dawn stayed with their music teacher, Miss. Tirelli to practice their song.
Two hours later, Derek and Dawn went to get measured for their caps and gowns.
Girls wore white caps and gowns and the boys wore red caps and gowns.
Mrs. Steinberg told the seniors that they'll be getting their caps and gowns Friday before graduation week.
"I can't believe that we're graduating soon." said Derek.
"Me to. It's like only yesterday that we were freshmen." said Dawn.
"And we're getting our yearbooks this afternoon after school." added Dawn.
Four hours later, the students picked up their yearbooks in the lobby and they signed each other's books.
Christy wrote in Derek's yearbook "I'll always love and care about you." with a heart next to her name.
Derek wrote in Christy's yearbook " I'll love you forever." with a heart next to his name.
The couple held hands as they walked to the car.
