It was a rainy evening and Dawn was getting ready for her first date with Steve. She decided to wear a pink blouse with a blue jean skirt, pink ballet flats and a silver necklace. She tied her hair in a ponytail with a white scrunchie.
Then the doorbell rang. John went to answer it and saw it was Steve. He wore a blue polo shirt that matched his eyes, black dress pants and black shoes. He brought a bouquet of pink roses for Dawn.
"Hey Steve come on in." said John as he held the door open for him.
"Dawn! Steve is here!" shouted John from upstairs.
"Be right there." said Dawn.
A few seconds later, Dawn came downstairs.
"Hey Steve." said Dawn
"Hey Dawn you look very lovely. These are for you." said Steve as he handed her the rose bouquet.
"Aw thank you you're so sweet." said Dawn as she handed the bouquet to John.
"See you later Dawn." said John as he handed Dawn her rain coat.
"See you later John." said Dawn.
The couple went to The Sock Hop Diner for dinner. Steve held the door open for Dawn and waited to be seated.
The waitress went over and took their order. They decided to get burgers with fries and coffee milkshakes.
"Ever since the dance and you agreeing to be my girlfriend. I couldn't stop thinking about you." said Steve.
"I had a secret crush on you since I helped you pass Miss. Larson's social studies test but I was too shy to tell you." said Dawn.
"I guess we both had crushes on each other but we were too shy to say anything to each other." said Steve.
The waitress brought them their dinner and then started to dig in.
"These burgers are good." said Dawn after she took a bite out of it.
"I know they're the best." said Steve.
After eating dinner, the couple payed for their meal and went for a walk in the park.
The rain let up and decided to take a walk.
Steve held Dawn's hand as they strolled through the park.
They went to the wishing fountain and each tossed a quarter in the water.
After a while, Steve walked Dawn home.
"l had a lot of fun with you." said Steve.
"Me to." said Dawn.
"Can I kiss you?" asked Steve.
"Yes." said Dawn.
Steve and Dawn got closer to each other and gave each other a kiss on the lips.
As they kissed, Dawn thought that it was a dream until Steve said "I'll see you later girlfriend."
Dawn said goodbye, went inside the house and went into her bedroom.
She sighed into space and started daydreaming about her first date.
