Derek and Christy walked into their third class of the day which happens to be English.
They held hands in the hallway and they let go whenever they saw a teacher or the principal because of the whole no PDA rule they have. When they go to high school next year you were allowed to hold hands.
Derek held the door open for Christy as she carried her notebook and pencil.
"Thanks." said Christy.
"No problem." said Derek.
They sat in the middle row where they saw Steve.
"You two nervous?" asked Steve.
"A little bit but it's just another class." said Christy.
"Yeah I'm sure after a while of being in Mr. Sullivan's class we'll get used to it." said Derek as he opened his notebook.
The door opened and there was a tall man who was in his late thirties with brown hair, fair skin, glasses and wore a gray suit with a green necktie.
"Good Morning class. My name is Mr. Sullivan." he said in a gruff voice as he wrote his name on the whiteboard.
"For your first assignment. I want you all to write a essay on what you did over summer vacation." said Mr. Sullivan.
Mr. Sullivan passed out lined sheets of paper to everyone.
And everyone got to work on writing their essays.
Derek and Christy couldn't write about going to The Care Bear Wedding because nobody should know about the Care Bears unless they have a problem figuring out their feelings.
They decided to write about being at Camp Pinecone and all the things they've done there.
After twenty minutes, Mr. Sullivan went around and started to collect the essays.
"I'll be grading your essays and you'll get them back tomorrow." said Mr. Sullivan as he put the papers on his desk.
The bell rang and everyone started to leave for their second class.
"What did you think of Mr. Sullivan?" asked Steve
"He's ok serious but not that tough." said Christy.
"Yeah I mean he's strict but isn't so tough." said Derek.
"I'll see you two at lunch." said Steve as he went off to his next class.
"I'll see you at lunch honey." said Derek as he gaved Christy a reassuring smile.
"Ok see you later." said Christy.
