What man has made of man!
Religion, colour, caste and creed,
Separate and segregate each human;
Desires, wants, necessity and need
create a world without reason.
What man has made of man?
Disconnect with bounteous nature,
Plunder that over generations does span
Simple greed and blase exploitation,
Ever since civilisation began.
What man has made of man?
Nothing given, everything taken
As fast and as quickly as he can
Yet, there is no satisfaction gained
Woe outpaces him, even if he ran.
What man has made of man?
A tragedy of human existence,
Destruction where ever you scan
Extinct creatures, depleted resources
Sorrowed lives, eyes bleak and faces wan

I heard a thousand blended notes,
While in a grove I sate reclined,

And much it grieved my heart to think

Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,
The periwinkle trailed its wreaths;

Enjoys the air it breathes.
The birds around me hopped and played,
Their thoughts I cannot measure:-
But the least motion which they made,
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.
The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there.
If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature's holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
