Let me think, it is not a sacrifice, at least it is not as deary or painful as a sacrifice sounds. Sacrifice sounds as though you have been made a martyr, whereas, I have given it up temporarily. And in return, I have gained wonderful moments and beautiful memories. So in a way it is no sacrifice, it is just a small price that I have paid for something which is utterly priceless and time well spent.
What is it you wonder - well - I had to give up reading (paperbacks and hardbound books) for the last two years so that I could spend all my time with my little nephew (firstly he is demanding and I am willing when it comes to giving him my attention and secondly I am very possessive of my books, so it is partly selfishness that I have shelved my reading - pun intended). So now that I have written it out, it is truly not a sacrifice.
