"Write about going on a job interview."

Strangely, I have not attended many, I seem to be one those employees who spend donkey's years in one organisation, till the bosses, the HR, and the ever changing crowd of employees are convinced you are part of the office. Not in a complimentary way, more like taking you for granted, like the correspondence cupboard or the stationery shelf - fixed to the wall or unmoving against the floor.

But then, the few that I have attended, the emotions are the same; nervousness, apprehension, then relaxation (as I feel, 'oh, been there done that) condescension (I presume) and disappointment when the HR does not get back. I am prepared for not being selected but not being told, that angers me.

I agree that the person being interviewed needs or wants the job, but then the company too would be needed a person to do the job, which is why there is an interview, in the first place. However, it is all the same - the emotions and the response, or rather the lack of it.
