[Sombra x Reader] Rise of the Legend. ✔️

Chapter 2 - Rescuing The Crystal Empire.

The world around us suddenly changed. Miles of snow turned into warm, soft grass. The cloudy grey sky turned into a vibrant turquoise, and warmth suddenly caressed our frozen bodies. We just barely escaped a huge monster cloud and now we were in some sort of haven.

Shakily, we all stood up and looked around to make sure that all of us safe. It didn't take long for us to realise where we were. It was not a haven, but The Crystal Empire.

Our jaws dropped. It was really made our of crystal! The gate in front of us was colorful and bright, with three magical floating crystals. Further down were astonishing crystal huts which glistened brightly and sparkled in the soft morning sunrays.

In the center of this majestic Empire was a tall crystal castle that towered highly above anything else. It stood proudly and illuminated the empire like a precious beacon. It's beauty quickly made us forget what happened just outside.

As we slowly trotted down the Empire exploring it curiously, we realised everything about it was perfect and beautiful. Except for one thing. It was very shocking and depressing...

The crystal ponies looked ever so upset, glum and lifeless. They didn't even seem to care about our presence. This made me feel very unwelcome, and I was certain my friends felt that way too.

We were all suddenly stopped by Apple Jack who looked nervous, but determined. She made sure she was whispering quietly enough so that the crystal ponies around us would not hear her words.

"Right, we gotta make sure if these ponies are okay, and ask them what they know about the Empire, and if there's a way to protect it." She pointed out. Twilight sighed and nodded.

"You're right Aj, just don't do anything rash okay? [YN], you're coming with me." Twilight said confidently, and I agreed.

We then all split into other directions, each one of us hoping to find some information. Twilight and I walked up to a purple mare who was stood just outside her crystal house. She seemed to have be staring at the sky blankly. 

"Uh, hello, my name is Twilight, and that is my friend [YN], we have a few questions if you don't mind." Twilight smiled awkwardly, but the pony remained with a blank face, however she was staring at us now. It felt incredibly intimidating. I allowed Twilight to continue talking, while I remained silent.

"Uh, so we were wondering, what could you tell us about the Empire, before it vanished for a thousand years?" Twilight asked. I could tell she was trying to sound calm but I knew she was in fact very stressed. 

"That was really a thousand years? Feels like just yesterday." The mare finally spoke. Even her voice sounded miserable and sad.

I decided to help Twilight and asked a question myself.

"Sorry to hear that, but do you have any idea how we could make sure this place is... safe?" I asked. I tried to sound as delicate as I could, but the ponies reaction was shocking.

The mare violently shook her head and began to speak really nervously and quite loud. 

"No! No! I don't! I cant remember, sorry!" She stuttered nervously and then slammed the door locking  herself inside her crystal hut. There it is, I ruin everything. I thought.

Twilight gave me a nervous and confused look. We then decided to group up once again with our other friends and see if anypony had found anything.

Twilight pranced from happiness when she was told that there was a huge library, so naturally, we all travelled there hoping that a history book or something would be able to help us.
