The King continued to levitate me through the corridors until we soon reached the kitchen.
"Really?" I asked. "I know I said food makes ponies feel better but I doubt Dark Magic can be stopped by using food you know." I tried to act smart, but the King chuckled without any reply.
The usual five maids were there, and they seemed terrified at the sight of the Tyrant, they also bowed out of what seemed like fear instead of respect.
"Out." King Sombra commanded coldly as he placed me into a chair finally. The five maids scurried out as fast as they could. The chains around their hind legs made quite some noise as they left.
"Damn." I commented. "Why the kitchen though?" I asked suspiciously. The King sighed.
"Okay this might sound weird, but the effects of dark magic can be diminished by drinking a mothers purity."
"What?" I raised en eyebrow pulling a puzzled face.
"Milk." The King answered simply as he took a glass of milk out of the fridge.
"Milk....?" I repeated. He sighed.
"Milk is the pure drink that a mother produced for their newborn, it's so pure that drinking it can diminish the effects of dark magic, do you understand?" He rolled his eyes.
"Right, yeah." I still sounded confused even though I understood him. I started to drink the milk, and I was certain that whatever King Sombra said about it, was not true, however I was wrong. I instantly regained my strength and I even felt a little warmer. There was a moment of silence in the kitchen where none of us said anything. Through the window, I could see that the sun would soon be setting, and I was getting anything little tired already. I started longing for the moment where I would finally be able to climb into my bed after a long day.
"You still didn't answer my question." I broke the silence.
"Huh?" He looked at me, standing by the cauldron.
"I asked you why did I affect your ability to fly. You did show me you can use Dark Magic, so why change the way you fly?" I questioned curiously.
"Fuck sake." The King swore under his breath.
"I heard that." I said coldly. "So?" I demanded calmly. The king sighed and rubbed his forehead.
"If I am to keep you alive, I must limit my use in dark magic." He said, but he did not sound so confident as he usually did.
"So you do not want me dead." I guessed, and the King nodded. "Nice to know after such a long time." I said sarcastically, but then I started to wonder why.
"As for the flying lesson, we will try tomorrow ok? You need to rest." He said in a caring tone. I spat some milk out in front of me.
"Whoaaaa! Is it just me or are you trying to be... kind?" I asked sounding very surprised.
"Im not." He replied coldly but avoiding eye contact. I then had a sudden idea, I did not know whether it was good or not, but definitely worth the try.
"Hey its ok to show some emotion." I spoke soothingly, but the King suddenly started to shake his head violently.
"Its not. Okay. Mare. I will KILL you!" He roared with an unnatural voice. It was much deeper and growly than his normal voice. I was petrified, so I ducked under the table. Suddenly the Kings magic hit the table and made it break into many pieces as I screamed. He now aimed his horn at me, and it glowed with unnatural magic and his eyes emitted purple mist again.
