I sat on the train, about a small hour away from Ponyille. I had all my luggage with me, which in the end turned out to be two bags, since that was enough for a four day trip. I planned to leave Ponyville later this evening, hoping to arrive in The Crystal Empire the next morning.
The trees and all the landscape zoomed past the window, as the train rushed closer to Ponyville with every second. I started planning my day in there, greet everypony, have a bit of fun, visit my old home, take what I want and sell, give or donate the rest.
This sounded like a good plan, and I tried my hardest to prepare myself emotionally for it, especially when it came to visiting my old home.
Eventually the trains wheels started screeching as the train began to stop. Soon after that, the conductor let every passenger know that it was time to board off the train, with a loud blow of a whistle. There weren't many Ponies on the train, with a brief look, I counted five ponies scramble off the train, which included me.
As I exited the platform, I headed into Ponyville smiling, but my smile quickly faded away and I frowned. The streets were completely empty and deserted. I walked slowly, hoping to see any kind of life, but Ponyville simply seemed abandoned. Was this because of me?
Suddenly I heard a loud cheer of a group of ponies in the far distance. I looked over to the source of the sound, and it seemed as though it came from Sweet Apple Acres. It felt relieving when I thought that Apple Jack was hosting some kind of competition.
I slowly travelled there, smiling, ready to greet everypony as the new me. As I got closer, I encountered the first ponies. Bonbon was one of them, but we never really talked, so I ended up only smiling to her. Her mouth fell open for a bit, before she smiled too which made me giggle.
Eventually the source of this whole commotion in Ponyville came into view. My mouth fell open when I realised that it was not a competition after all.
In the distance, I saw my six friends, along with the Apple family, and two unicorns I never met before. They were obviously twins, and one of them had three quarters of an apple as a cutie mark, and the other one had the missing quarter. There was also what seemed like a magically powered machine behind them, with the name Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000.
I realised that it was the apple cider season, however I frowned, realising that the Apple family in fact looked angry and upset. I then trotted past the two twins, and headed to the Apple family. I also saw that the ponies who still recognised me, looked very surprised at my presence, and I only ended up smiling at them.
"Apple Jack" I exclaimed happily, as soon as she noticed me. Her mouth fell open too, as she went for a hug.
"[YN] what in the hay are you doin' here?" She wondered, sounding quite startled.
"I'm visiting for the day, its a long story." I replied, trying to avoid saying as to why exactly I'm in Equestria.
I was then greeted by the rest of the Apple family, and I noticed that Apple Bloom looked a bit older after those few months of my absence. Then the rest of my friends arrived, and we all greeted eachother happily.
I questioned them about the two unicorns beside the machine, and my friends did not seem too happy about them.
"They're evil!" Apple Bloom squeaked, but she was quickly hushed by Granny Smith.
"They want to take away the apple farm." Fluttershy spoke quietly, although she also seemed angry.
"They can make cider though." Dash shrugged, and recieved a few angry glares from our friends so she quickly went quiet again.
