Chapter 30 - Equestria Pt. 1

Two days have passed, since we struck the deal. The train to Equestria was expected to leave in one hour. My heart was racing, and I could barely find any strength to simply focus on one thing. It was really about to happen, I would visit Equestria for the first time in a few months.

I was at the main balcony, catching the last few glimpses of this crystal kingdom, before my long journey to Equestria. Sombra was standing beside me, trying to comfort me, even though I knew that he was nervous too, especially by the fact that I would spend about a day in a train, with Feilip.

"Are you sure about this, [YN]?" Sombra asked me, in a calm tone. I turned my head sideways to look at him.

"Yes." I replied. Only then it hit me, how much I will truly miss him. Even moments like these, where he would just stand there, proudly, as the wind caressed  his pitch black, silky mane. I loved to look into his eyes, the crimson inside them was like fire, a dangerous yet essential force to me.

The stillion whom I loved, who was superior to me in every way, yet he still showed true compassion and love in return.

"Hello? [YN]?" I heard Sombras voice. I shook my head rapidly, trying to snap out of my thoughtful realm.

"Oh sorry, I dozed off into thoughts." I admitted, and blushed. Sombra smiled, and hugged me tightly. The embrace felt really good, and I knew that was another thing, that I would miss when the journey starts.

"You will visit Ponyville?" Sombra wondered, trying to break the silence.

I thought about it for a moment, and there were so many reasons I wanted to say no, like seeing every pony who still probably remember as a traitor, or the orphanage where I was a nasty bully at one point. I also wanted to say yes, to see my friends, and my abandoned home. All the possessions and memories I left inside of it.

"I guess so." I replied bluntly, staring at the Empire.

"What do you mean?" He tilted his head.

"The first day, I will spend in Manehattan with Feilip." I spoke in a disgusted way. "I might travel to Ponyville on the second day." I finished.

I could tell that Sombra too, was disgusted by Feilip, but it wouldn't be long till we would rid him from this Empire, hopefully forever.

The alicorn walked me to his office, and we spent the last minutes there, hugging and kissing. It sounded a bit soppy to think of, but he was the stallion of my dreams, and there was no such thing as soppy when it came to him.

Eventually the time had arrived, to walk to the train station, where Feilip was already standing. I was surprised to see him looking nervous, as he scraped his hoof unconsciously on the crystal platform. He smiled weakly, and bowed his head to Sombra as we arrived there. Sombra noticed it, but he merely looked away, showing his disgust with Feilip. Feilips ears flattened.

"You ready?" I asked, sounding a bit cold.

"Yes, I think." He replied, with a frown as he tried to think whether everything was actually ready.

"What about your Café?" I asked him.

"Cozy Corner. Yeah, I will miss this place. I sold it to a close friend, and the money will hopefully help me in Equestria." Feilip explained. I nodded, but didn't reply anything.

At that moment, the train had arrived, and its whistle blew. It was time to board it. Instinctively, I went for a hug from Sombra, but stopped, realising that there were other ponies around, and that would probably give something away. I clenched my jaw in anger.

Sombra walked up to me, and whispered something, so that only I could hear.

"Just be careful, especially when it comes to Feilip." He sounded very serious.
