The rest of the ride back to Canterlot was in a tense, uncomfortable atmosphere. There was very little talk, and all our thoughts were occupied by what would have been the Princesses reaction.

Twilight kept blaming herself, but Rainbow Dash kept pointing out who really messed things up, and of course, it was me. Typical.

The train pulled up into the station. We quickly were greeted by the common sounds of the city which included chariots, chatter and musicians playing in the streets. We all left the train looking guilty and glum, and neither of us exchanged a word. We carried on walking for a bit, until Rainbow Dash finally broke the silence.

"Just you watch, Celestia will have your traitor flank thrown in her dungeon in no time!" She spat angrily. I did not reply to her, I only tried to make a curtain out of my [HC] mane so that I would no longer have to see Dash. It hurt me a lot that the pony I spent the most time with, was the one to neglect me the most for my mistake.

"I think the Princess ought to make her clean the dungeon floors as a punishment." Rarity implied.

"Rarity. The Princess cant do that." Flutter Shy corrected. Rarity rolled her eyes.

We arrived at the main hall, and the doors were opened by royal guards. Princess Celestia was at a chair doing some paperwork. She naturally turned around to check who came in, and she was shocked to see her seven ponies return with glum looks on their faces. She flapped her wings and immediately flew in our direction.

"Did you do it? Is everything okay? Twilight what happened?" She questioned impatiently. Rainbow Dash snapped.

"It was her! She ruined EVERYTHING! [YN] gave the crystal heart, TO THAT MONSTER!" Dash exclaimed. I felt like I wanted to bury myself in the floor, and never leave. Princess Celestias face was full of fear, she gave Twilight the kind of 'tell me this is a joke' look, but Twilight avoided eye contact.

"No. This cant be. What have you done [YN]?" She questioned me in disbelief.

"I'm sorry Princess, it was an accident, I didn't mean to do it, I just -"

"You didn't mean to do it? Accident? Liar!" Apple Jack snapped. Tears started pouring down my face, I couldn't believe my friends pointed out my mistakes instead of supported me through them. The girls then all started to argue, or more like, debate about what kind of names I should be called and what punishments I should have received. All except Twilight. She remained silent, watching the floor.

"QUIET!" Celestias voice echoed. The five arguing ponies now blushed with embarrassment, and how they let their emotions get the best of them right in front of the princess. "Applejack, Pinkie, Rarity, Dash and Shy, all leave. I want to talk alone with Twilight and [YN]." Celestia ordered. My body began to shake from fear, maybe my punishment was so bad, that she didn't even want to say it in front of everypony. "Sit" She commanded again. "Twilight, tell me, what happened exactly."

Twilight then started to tell her everything, from the moment we arrived and got chased by a cloud of unnatural shadow, to the point when we entered the train after our successful attempt to flee The Crystal Empire. Celestia oftenly ended up with her mouth wide open from shock. She then questioned me about my version of things, but she also asked me to include my emotions.

I told her everything, except from the part where I read King Sombras diary, from before he became an evil tyrant. I felt like even though he was more of a monster than a pony now, this was still his private thoughts and experiences, and I felt guilty enough for reading it. Celestia questioned me specifically on the part where I crashed onto the floor between my friends and King Sombra, she was very curious about how I felt.

"But princess, it all happened so fast, I really dont know" I reasoned. Celestia sighed.

"Twilight, I dont blame you at all, leave to your friends now, [YN] stay." She ordered.

Twilight glumly made her way out, and before Celestia could have put the worst punishment ever on me, I blurted out.

"Please! Please dont throw me into a dungeon and make me clean all its floors pleeeaasse!" I cried.

"I was not going to do that." Celestia informed sounding annoyed. "But you do realise, that you betrayed Equestria and aided one of its biggest foes into succeeding?" She questioned. I nodded my head in response, unable to say anything. "For your information, Luna and I no longer can defeat King Sombra, he is much too powerful now, and my sister is still weakened from the transformation back to her normal self from Nightmare moon. Our only hope now is that King Sombra does not call war upon us, if he does so, Equestria is likely to fall because of you." She pointed out. These words made me shiver.

"I dont think he will." I reassured her, sounding uncertain myself.

"And why is that?" She asked raising her eyebrow.

"Well, King Sombra does seem to know what he is doing, I was the one who told him to set my friends free, and he listened." I explained. She took a moment to think before saying anything else. The sky outside seemed to be darkening.

"Maybe so, but do you really think an evil tyrant like him, who is not afraid to enslave and banish an entire Empire, and fight two of the strongest rulers of Equestria, would listen to you? Because I believe there was something else behind it [YN], he is smarter than he looks." She concluded.

"Looks." I repeated unconsciously. Thinking of King Sombras appearance, his perfect muscular posture, his slender body, his flawless eyes in perfect contrast with his dark grey coat, and the way he smirked when he stood above me-

"What?" The Princess asked in confusion as I snapped out of my thoughts.

"Uh, the um sky looks nice!" I blurted out trying to make something up. The Princess knew I was lying but did not press on it.

"Anyway, for your punishment, you will do forty hours weekly of community service in Ponyville with no pay, and you will continue so until I'm satisfied, is that clear?" She questioned expecting me to say yes. The forty hours a week was a lot.. and I would not be paid... but I had no other choice.

"Yes Princess Celestia." I mumbled.

"Now go, I do not want to see you causing anymore trouble." She said sceptically.

I left the hall and caught the last train of the day back to Ponyville, and it was dark by the time I got to my door. My hut was small, much like Flutter Shy's, instead it was not so full of animals and I did not live by the edge of a forest.

As I sat my flank on my red sofa, I wondered how I can make it up to my friends for my mistake. I had a small plan in mind, which I decided to do tomorrow morning.
