My eyes slowly opened the next day, and I could see that the sun was already quite high in the sky, showing that I slept longer than usual. The air in my room felt dry and dense, and my eyelids felt really heavy. I hastily left my bed and got ready, tempted to see the King and make sure he was okay.
Soon enough, I found myself walking past the kitchen without even feeling hungry, so I made my way further through the corridors, only to soon come across the throne room. The King was sat at the table just finishing his breakfast.
"Sombra! How are you feeling?" I trotted into the room cheerfully.
"And who gave you the permission to call me by my name?" He asked coldly, raising his eyebrow. He carefully placed a fork beside his plate using his magic. My ears flopped as I didn't realise that was something I was not supposed to do.
"I did that the whole day yesterday, sorry if it -"
"Kidding." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes and sat at the other side of the table on the cold crystal chair.
"So are you going to answer my question now?" I asked impatiently. The King sighed as he sat back.
"I'm better." He replied bluntly. I took a closer look at the King, and I was shocked to see that his wounds have now been almost fully healed. They were still visible, but they looked as though those wounds had a week or so, not one day.
"Your wounds... they're hardly visible, how?" I questioned.
"I'm a King, I should be ready for any kind of situation." His lip curved into a mischievous smile. Sombra was definitely not wanting to tell me something. I then took a closer look at his horn, since it was different than any pony else. It was curved, sharp and the end of it was tinted red.
"Why is your horn different?" I asked curiously. He looked up at his horn and sighed.
"Its an effect of using dark magic for a longer period of time." He explained reluctantly.
"Same thing goes with your fangs?" I asked tilting my head to the side.
"Yes." He grinned his teeth, they were white, sharp and deadly.
"Soooooo, you want to start the flying lesson today?"
"Yes."
"Is yes all youre going to reply?" I frowned. Sombra saw this opportunity to joke around, and took it.
"Yes." He smirked, making me roll my eyes. I found it funny how he still had a sense of humour, so early in the day.
"Are you a tyrant?" I asked hoping to make him change his answer.
"Yes."
"Are you a chicken?"
"Yes." He replied making me giggle.
"Celestia will win the war?"
"Yes." He answered frowning a bit. This answer actually surprised me, I thought he would have been angry for saying such a thing, but I guessed he was a tricky player.
"So, are frogs blue?"
"Yes."
"Do you eat toothpaste?" I giggled.
"Yes." He raised his eyebrow.
"Would you ever date me?" I asked really curiously, hoping to not give away that I had a crush on him. The stallion then remained silent and didn't answer. I knew it. I knew he did not like me and I had no chance to ever be with him. I tried to hide my upset feelings with a fake smile. "Anyway, I think I should get some breakfast." I noted and left hastily without waiting for his reply.
