Chapter 5 - Very unfriendly!

I woke up in the morning feeling rested but glum. The events from the past two days still fresh in my mind. As I brushed my [HC] mane, I wondered in more detail how I could apologise to my friends. I finally decided to privately say sorry to each one of them, and bring them cupcakes. That does not seem like much but hey! Who doesn't like cupcakes? 

I left my house and headed to Sugarcube Corner, I was glad to hear that Pinkie was not there, so I was able to make a surprise for her when I ordered the cupcakes from Mrs Cake. She looked really nervous, which I could not understand why, but when I left Sugarcube Corner carrying six boxes of cupcakes, I realised that Pinkie must have told them what happened. Great. Now everypony knew I was a traitor. 

I was still hoping to encounter Pinkie first, hoping she would not find out I ordered cupcakes as this would ruin my surprise. Thinking of ways to make this easier for myself, I thought of flying above Ponyville to see everything at once, but then I remembered my wing was still hurt and I would not be able to fly it for another week or so. 

My ears flickered when I heard Pinkies familiar voice from the distance. I instantly ran in her direction planning out my words for the apology. There she was, talking happily with Mayor Mare. I trotted over to her with a friendly smile on my face, even though my insides were squeezing from the guilt I felt. 

"Hello Pinkie!" I cheered, but Pinkies reaction was not the one I expected. Her face suddenly became puzzled and nervous. 

"Oh hey [YN], I was just about to leave, Ill not stand in your way see ya'!" Pinkie tried to leave abruptly, but I caught her by her pink tail.

"Wait! I wont take long, please listen. I wanted to apologise... and bring you cakes to cheer you up." I started as I handed Pinkie the cupcakes. "This was probably the biggest mistake I have ever done, but please dont let it affect out friendship, I know I really messed up and -"

"Uhh I think I left Gummy in the bath for too long, sorry I have to go bye!" Pinkie exclaimed as she suddenly hurried off. Her excuse was ridiculous, but maybe she did have something important going on. At least I've managed to say sorry, I thought. I then made my way down Ponyville looking for my other five friends. 

"Hey  Rarity!" I called seeing the white Pony just leaving the material shop. 

"Oh, I'm really busy now darling." Rarity said as she packed material rolls in her bag. 

"Please, it'll only take a minute." I begged. "Listen, I know I have a mistake, so here I've bought you some cupcakes to cheer you up. What I did was absolutely horrible and I'm sorry for it, and I will understand if youre mad but -"

"Okay okay, bye!" Rarity muttered as she scurried off fast. I felt some kind of emotional pain in my heart, did my friends really hate me for what I did? It was just a mistake! Dont be silly [YN], they are the most friendly ponies in all of Equestria, they wouldn't do something like that! And I know the pony who can prove it! I thought out loud.

I soon arrived at sweet apple acres, in the distance I saw Apple Jack carrying some baskets with apples over to her barn. I galloped over to where she was. 

"Apple Jack!" I handed her the cupcakes as she turned around. "These are for you to cheer up my dear friend. I am very sorry, I screwed up big time, but I will make it up for you, and our friends and the Princess. I dont want you feeling -"

"Thats sweet Sugarcube, I'm sure they'll be nice, but I cant talk now, I'm uhh busy with those apples, I um, I'm moving them, yeah moving." She mumbled. The orange pony then turned around and disappeared into the barn. Tears formed in my eyes, but I quickly wiped them off. Apple Jack can be a bit stiff sometimes, but Flutter Shy will definitely understand!
