My eyes slowly opened the next day, I felt rested, yet there was a feeling of some sort of tiredness in me. I lazily climbed off my bed and began to make myself look fresh and presentable for the day. My [HC] mane looked messier than usual, which told me I must've had a bad dream or something. Also my head was still very painful, and the bandage fell off in my sleep and it was lost somewhere within my white bedsheets.

I cleared my bed making sure it looked straight but the more I moved the more my head felt like it was throbbing and hurt a lot. I left my room and not feeling hungry, so I only grabbed a glass of water from the kitchens.

I decided to look for King Sombra, I really wanted to explain myself and apologise too, although I kind of felt innocent too, but hey, hes the King! I searched for the stallion everywhere, but he simply vanished. I wondered where he could have been. Since he was no where to be found, I decided once again to roam the castle and look for something interesting to do.

I came across of a room which seemed like it was a training room of some sort. It was large and very industrial to the look. There were also no windows and it was dimly lit with candles. To the right, there were multiple wooden board targets, however the disturbing thing was they were cut outs that looked like ponies, and to be precise unicorns. I wondered what the training room was used for, since there were no spears bows or swords around.

I then noticed a small table in the corner of the room, and a book laid upon it. The title did not surprise me. Offensive Dark Magic. I realised then that this was a room where King Sombra must have been training. Why on pony cutouts though?

I hastily left the room feeling unsecure about the place. I wondered how much danger I'm in. I then kept wondering around the crystal castle looking for things to do to kill time.

Many countless crystal corridors later, turning a corner, I finally saw him. King Sombra was standing at the other end of the corridor facing away from me, ordering a pair of guards to do this and that.

"King Sombra!" I called him as I made my way to where he was. But his reaction wasn't the one I expected. He looked back and noticed who called him. He frowned his face and walked off in the opposite direction. Ruuuudeee. I thought.

"Your Majesty, let me apologise please." I begged as I galloped by the kings side trying to catch up with his very fast paced walk, but the stallion simply did not stop. So I gently caught on his cape to try and make him stop, but the King jolted.

"Don't touch me!" He roared as he continued to walk.

"Im sorry. But please, let's talk." I begged again. He looked at me sceptically and once again I knew what he wanted. "Your Majesty. " I added rolling my eyes. He then abruptly came to a halt and I almost walked into him.

"What do you exactly want?" He asked coldly.

"I want to apologise, I know I shouldn't have done that but I also want to explain -"

"Fine" He interrupted. "Follow me." He then ordered coldly. I tried to figure out his feelings, and guess where we were heading to. But his facial expression was stone cold, maybe a bit angry, I couldn't really tell.

We stopped at a door which I instantly recognised. It was the door that lead to the main office where I first found King Sombra's diary. The stallion opened the door with his magic and entered, I followed him.

"Sit." He ordered coldly. I sat at a cosy chair in the corner of the room as he sat in his small office throne behind the desk. I then noticed his diary, it was neatly placed on a bookshelf with some other tattered books.

"So, explain, yourself then." The King rolled his eyes. He was making it awfully clear to me that he was still pissed off.

"Well." I started "You're aware that I was on a quest to save Equestria, and my job was to do everything I could to find out how to protect The Crystal Empire, and reading your diary seemed like the right thing to do, but honestly, I would not do it if things weren't the way they were." I explained hoping he would finally stop behaving like a stroppy child.
