The next morning, I woke up because the early rays of sunlight found a gap through my curtains, and blinded my eyes. I rolled over on the bed, and rubbed my eyelids lazily. As I opened my eyes, I realised that my coat no longer had the crystal effect on it.
Eventually I found myself taking a shower, which felt both refreshing and rejuvenating. I decided to go get breakfast after that.
I was on my way to the kitchen, thinking about today's meeting with Feilip, not realising that I was being followed.
"Hello." Sombra spoke suddenly. I turned around with a smile on my face, but I soon realised that Sombras expression was serious. His coat was also no longer crystally.
"Hey. Is everything Okay?" I wondered.
"For now, yes." He said, as he used his magic to summon a previously opened scroll. The broken red seal on it indicated that it was from Equestria. "Neither of us yesterday checked the fireplace, and this morning I have found this." He said pointing to the scroll. I watched and listened carefully. "Half of it are congratulations on the restoration, however the other half is saying thay Cadence will arrive here tomorrow because she apparently wants to talk about something." He explained, as he was double checking the scroll.
My mouth fell open a bit, because I never expected Cadence to want to come of all ponies, especially after what Sombra did to her mother.
"But she will come tomorrow, you have time." I comforted.
"No." Sombra argued. "The scroll has been sent yesterday, saying she will arrive tomorrow. She is arriving today [YN]." He explained, making the scroll vanish again.
"Oh". My ears flattened. "Sorry, I will be out today, I cant keep you company." I apologised, still feeling guilty about yesterday.
"Apparently she wants it a private meeting anyway." Sombra added bluntly.
"Right." I replied. "I'm going to get breakfast, are you coming with me?" I smiled.
"No." He replied. "I ate already, and anyway I have a meeting room to prepare." He said, and started walking down the corridor in the opposite direction to where I was heading.
I sighed and then made my way peacefully to the kitchen. There was a single maid in there, and she was only recently hired, so I didn't know her name. I noticed that her coat in fact did look like crystal, possibly because she was originally from The Crystal Empire - unlike me and Sombra.
"Hello." I said upon entering the kitchen. The maid turned around to greet me. Her coat was a light yellowy green, and she had a dark green flowy mane.
"Morning miss." She cheered, as I made my way to sit by the table. "Anything you would like for breakfast?" She wondered.
"Any salad will do, thanks." I responded lazily. The maid started preparing a salad, using fresh ingredients. I noticed that she was smiling oddly, and from time to she would look at me. I checked my reflection in a spoon to check whether everything was okay with my appearance, and eveything seemed normal, so I frowned when she looked at me again.
