The next day, I found myself wanting to get off the bed as soon as my eyes opened, but it was too painful to do so. My neck hurt a lot and my hoofs wobbled and felt weak, so I ended up sitting down on the chair in the room. I hoped for Sombra to come here, and greet me with a warm hug, just like the one yesterday - but without the part where I cried.

Instead, Dazzle (one of the maids) arrived some time later with a plate on a tray. She left it on the table, and I was delighted to see breakfast. Only then I realised how hungry I really was. My stomach growled at me as I ate a fresh flower sandwich, sipping some warm coffee with it. The food really helped me feel better, and I was excited after a successful attempt to stand up properly.

Soon, I found myself slowly walking down a crystal corridor. I asked one of the guards whether they knew where Sombra was, and his first reaction was surprised, at the fact that I call his King by his name. Unfortunately he did not know where the Alicorn was at the moment, so I slowly continued my search.

Many corridors later, turning around the corner, I saw the stallion had just entered the throne room. I tried to gallop over to him, but that was too painful and I fell to the floor on my stomach, with a loud thump. Obviously, Sombra had to hear it, and I ended up blushing when I saw his puzzled face look from behind the doorway.

"[YN]? What are you doing out of bed?" He asked sounding concerned, as he lifted me up using his magic.

"I was looking for you, I'm fine." I said, before he had a chance to comment on it. The tyrant took a moment before starting to speak.

"Fine, lets go for a walk, we have a lot to talk about." He said, but his voice now was a bit cold, and very serious. It scared me. Soon enough, I found myself walking with the King through many corridors, eventually arriving at the castle entrance door.

"We are leaving?" I asked, sounding surprised.

"Yes, a walk outside will do good for you, but keep  your voice down when we talk, I dont want my subjects eavesdropping." He smiled. The guard opened the doors and I was released in what seemed like the first time in forever.

"[YN]. I.. I do not want this anymore." He started as we slowly made our way through the Empire. I had no idea what he was talking about, this could have meant so many things, which left me really worried.

"You dont want what?" I asked, deciding to be straight forward about it. I also noticed the slaves being really surprised about me, that I was casually walking with their King.

"I want to be a better King. Not a tyrant." He confessed, avoiding eye contact. My mouth fell wide open, but I quickly closed it, trying to act as though this was something I expected from him. Then there was a short moment of silence between us.

"This is good news!" I smiled, but it was clearly a fake smile. I was in fact incredibly worried. Though I knew it was better for the King to be good, it felt odd at the same time. "How are you wanting to change things?" I asked, trying to create a conversation. I noticed from Sombras face, and I knew that this was a difficult situation for him.

"Thats the thing, its difficult." He shrugged.

"Maybe, but Ill support you through it." I soothed as we just passed a group of slaves who just finished a ten hour shift.

"Even if I were to change, some things will remain the same." He said darkly.

"What do you mean?"

"War with Celestia is unavoidable." He clarified, looking straight at me for the first time during this conversation. It sent shivers down my back, as though there was more to it.
