The train from Ponyville to Canterlot took about an hour as the stars started appearing on the orange and blue sky. I was then forced to swap trains, onto the one that was connected with The Crystal Empire.

I slept peacefully through most of the night, hoping to wake up in the morning to the sound of a stopping train, and the look of familiar looking crystals.

I woke up when there was a loud sudden blow of the train whistle. As I put my head up to look out of the window, there it was, the beautiful crystal platform. I was home.

My stomach squeezed from excitement, and a smile grew on my face when I thought of Sombra waiting for me at the platform, where we would be able to hug.

I refused the young stallion who worked on the train to take my bags, as I was too excited to be finally home. I hopped off the train, and looked around. I frowned as I noticed that the platform seemed completly deserted. I was hoping that Sombra would be waiting for me here, but maybe he had a royal duty or something.

I sighed, and with a weaker smile I slowly travelled back to the castle. I cherished each moment of looking at it, how it glistened proudly in the distance, and stood so tall and fearless as you came closer to it.

At the foot of the castle, I greeted the two guards, who bowed their heads, offered help with the bags, and opened the door allowing me to enter. I had to take a moment to consider where to go first, whether I should straight away try to find Sombra, or leave my bags in my chamber and then go find him.

I sighed and decided to go find Sombra first. The bags weren't exactly heavy, so I had no trouble carrying them around. At first, I was certain that he would be in his office, doing paperwork or something, but his office was empty. I checked the throne room, the garden, the training room, and the kitchens too, but neither of them had any sign of Sombra.

I started worrying that something bad might have happened, when suddenly I heard Dazzle behind me.

"Hello miss [YN]." She smiled. I turned around, and smiled back.

"Hey." I said, trying to not sound too worried.

"You have been travelling, miss?" She wondered as she noticed my bags.

"Uh, yeah I just returned actually, and I'm looking for Sombra." I admitted, trying to make it sound as though I didn't just spend the past half an hour looking for him.

"Of course, would you like me to take you to him?" She offered with a smile, her question was kind of relieving too.

"No, I just need the location." I smiled. I knew the castle as well as my own hoof, however the were rooms I still had no idea about. There was simply too much to explore.

"That's fine, hes in the meeting room down the hall and to the left." Dazzle informed.

"Hes having a meeting?" I wondered. Maybe he was talking with the Empire's nobles or something.

"Yes, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you joined." She added.

"If you say so." I srugged. "Thanks, have a good day." I added.

"Would you like me to take your bags?" She offered quickly, and I finally agreed and then walked off to where Dazzle directed me to.

As I got closer to the door, I did in fact hear chatter inside, but it did not seem like a group of ponies on a serious meeting. It sounded more like Sombra joking around with a mare, whom I could not recognise by the voice.

My heart shuddered, as I gently lifted my hoof up and knocked twice on the door. The crystal door knob glowed with a familiar red magical aura, and soon the door was open. Sombra was inside, looking relaxed as he sat in his chair, and two chairs away was...
