Chapter 81

I sit next to Thor. "I'm sorry your last memory is how I was changed into an enemy.." I speak to hulk.

Hulk shrugs. "Hulk not mad."

I smile. "You talk now. Wait till Nat hears you."

Thor's eyes pop open. He's lying in a heap on the ground. Thor starts to get up, but then winces. He moves slowly.

"Sorry. Their water isn't pure enough to heal well." I half smile.

Thor stands up and asks "where are we?"

I point and Thor watches as Hulk eases himself into a large steaming JACUZZI. Thor looks at him quizzically.

Hulk isn't angry. He's relaxed, but he's not turning into Banner.

Thor asks him "Are we cool?"

Hulk grunts. "I guess so."

Thor amazing and confused "It's Hulk in a hot tub."

I smile. "It's amazing right? How long have you been like that hulk?"

Hulk looks at me "Like what?"

Thor responds "Like this. Big, green, ...stupid."

"He means as hulk. With no banner." I roll my eyes.

HULK "Hulk always Hulk."

Thor takes this in, and then walks over to a window that looks out across the city.

"You must really love being worshipped here instead of being hunted like back home. . ." I walk over to his weapons and feel sort of sad for the fallen. "You're practically a god here."

Hulk "hulk love it."

Thor jumps in "How'd you get here?"

HULK "Winning."

I laugh a little.

Thor says under his breath "You mean cheating?"

I smile "he means to this island planet of trash."

Thor points to his chip in his neck " Were they wearing one of these when you won? How'd you arrive here?"

HULK nonchalant "Quinjet." Hulk mimes a plane landing in the water.

Thor fist bumps the air  "Yes. Where is the Quinjet now?"

Hulk stands up, and exits the hot tub, naked.

I follow hulk.

Thor stares at hulks massive package "That's naked. He's very naked. It's in my brain now."

Hulk points out the window. "Quinjet."

Thor and I look out and see the Quinjet in a massive alien junkyard.

Thor screams "Yes! I'm getting us out of here.
This is a terrible, awful place. You're gonna love Asgard. It's big. It's golden. Shiny."

Hulk sits on his bed, eating a pumpkin. " Hulk stay."

Thor "No, no, no. My people need me to get back to Asgard. We must prevent Ragnarok."

HULK confused "Rag-na-ruh?"

Thor explains "The prophesied death of my home world, the end of days, it's the end of-"

I put a hand over Thor's mouth. "Bad guy made of fire bigger than you hulk will kill our home."

Hulk's blank stare.

"If you help me get back to Asgard, I can help you get back to Earth." Thor try's to win him.

HULK "Earth hate Hulk."

"That's not a good exchange Thor. He's treated as a god here. On earth they treat him as a monster." I walk up to hulk. "Kids will die from this monster. Loved ones. A whole planet. Gone."

Thor reasons more "Earth loves Hulk. They love you. You're of the Avengers. One of the team, one of our friends. This is what friends do. They support each other."

HULK "You're Banner's friend."

I fold my arms and watch Thor be Thor. The thick headed "king" He is.

Thor Smiles "I'm not Banner's friend. I prefer
you."

HULK doesn't buy it "Banner's friend."

Thor laughs it off "I don't even like Banner."
He does a bad impersonation of Banner "I'm into numbers and science and stuff."

I shake my head.

HULK "Thor go. Hulk Stay."

Thor giving up "Fine. Stay here. Stupid place.
It's hideous, by the way. The red, the white. Just pick a color."

Thor heads for the exit, a wide openu door.

HULK says a come back "Smash you."

Thor turns "You didn't smash anything. I won
that fight"

Hulk " I smashed you."

Thor "Yeah, sure, sure."

Hulk "Baby Arms."

Thor looks at hulk " What?"

Hulk says "Baby." In a childish way.

"You're a baby!" Thor Yells.

Hulk upset "Thor go again! Thor go home."

Thor Yells "Moron! You big child." Thor heads to the open entrance.

I look back at hulk. He smiling, anticipating.

HE yells again " Thor go!"

Thor Yells back " I am going."

All of as sudden Thor's jolted back by the obedience disk. There are perimeter sensors in the doorway.

Hulk laughs at Thor as he hits the floor.

Thor slumps against the wall, head sagging.

Hulk grabs his giant battleaxe. He's armored up. "Hulk trains."

Thor burned out "That's great. Have fun."

Hulk exits.

We watch Hulk go. Then, at the end of the hallway Hulk meets up with The lady.

They begin play- fighting, a clearly friendly rapport.

We both couldn't believe it.

Thor sighs. Walks over to the window. Looks up through a wormhole, stars twinkling on the other end of it.

"You need to be friends with him if you want his help." I sit on Hulks bed. " you just had to Thor it up with your stupidity."

Thor starts speaking "Heimdall, I know you can see me."

I stand next to Thor. "Heimdall is alive?"

Thor continues his plea at the window. "I need you to help me. Help me see."
