Chapter 57

It's been 11 months since Ultron. Steve has been training everyone to be better focused, Prepared and equipped for the future. Side missions arise from time to time. As I continue to get stronger Thor keeps reaching out to me. With the rainbow bridge broken and Heimdall still contained, its been difficult to have a hold on what Thor's trying to say.

I sat in the middle of a whirlpool I created in a my new training room. The water increases my range in my ability to reach Asgard.. but I'm afraid it's not enough.

"Dear sister...." Thor's voice echoed in my mind.

I concentrated harder.

"Thanos... stronger .... be careful..." his voice coming in and out.

Steve knocked on the glass wall and I immediately dropped the water. "Ugh What?!"

He puts his hands up.

"I'm sorry..." I Put my face in my hands. The pain of concentrating to hard was causing my nose to bleed.

"You've been stressing for a couple of months. What's wrong?" Steve hands me a tissue and rubs my back as he hugs me.

"Thor has been trying everything to give me a message. I think being on earth to long has shifted my focus on my Asgard connection." I look intently into his eyes.

"I'm sorry babe... I wish I could help you but I don't know how. How about you sit out this one and rest up...." he smiles at me.

"What if you really need me?"

"It's just one mission." He puts a finger up. "Gain your strength back."

I go into the communication room after my shower.

I switch on the monitors. All the news casters are speaking of us.

Steve comes up to me as I'm watching a news report on the Lagos attack and how they blame Wanda for it.

News Anchor man speaks "11 Wakandans were among those killed during a confrontation between the Avengers and a group of mercenaries in Lagos, Nigeria, last month. The traditionally reclusive Wakandans were on an outreach mission in Lagos when the attack occurred."

King T'Chaka then pops up "Our people's blood is spilled on foreign soil. Not only because of the actions of criminals, but by the indifference of those pledged to stop them. Victory at the expense of the innocent, is no victory at all."

News Anchor continues "The Wakanda king went on to..."

Steve turns off the monitors.

I look at him "rough one huh?"

He sighs and I hug him warmly.

"Want to tell me what happened?" I look up at him.

"I should go talk to her.." Steve then turns to leave.

I sigh and walk to the kitchen. "Vision..."

Vision pops up. "What happened?"

"Wanda tried to push the bomb away but it exploded to early killing Wakandian people in the process." He answers me.

"Was she trying to  ..." I see vision staring straight. "Vision..."

"Mr. stark has brought a guest. I must tell steve. Excuse me Avinna." He phases through the wall.

I pour me a glass of wine not ready for what's about to happen.

The Secretary of State, Thaddeus Ross, is standing at the head of a table.

Me along side Rhodey, Natasha, Steve, Tony, Sam, Vision, and Wanda are gathered around.

The Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross has summoned the Avengers to a meeting.
