Chapter 74

Odin to himself "Oh, shit." To everyone "Uh, my son, Thor, has returned! Greetings, my boy."

I stare at Thor. "Thor?..."

Thor smiles and hugs me tight. "Avinna!!!" He laughs. "How did you ?... when did you??"

"It's complicated but I'm here to follow you ... and tell you that the avengers... they.." he stops me.

"One second dear sister .. Father." Thor getting Odins attention again. "It's an interesting play. What's it called?"

My eyes tear up.

Odin looks at the actors. "The Tragedy of Loki of Asgard. The people wanted to commemorate him."

Thor nods "Ah, indeed they should. Oh, I like the statue. A lot better looking than he was when he was alive, though. A little... a little less weasely, less greasy, maybe." shows him the skull of Surtur. "Do you know what this is?"

I look at it amazed. "Oh you didnt. "

Odin answers "Oh, the skull of Surtur. That's a formidable weapon! "

Thor looks to a guard "Do me a favor. Lock this away in a vault so it doesn't turn into a giant monster and destroy the whole planet."

Odin gives his wine cup to a maiden "Thank you, dear." He then stands and walks a little to Thor. "Un, so it's back to Midgard for you, is it?"

Thor flips his hammer. "Nope. I've been having this reoccurring dream lately. Every night, I see Asgard fall into ruins."

Odin brushes it off "That's just a silly dream, signs of an overactive imagination."

"That's horrible." I whisper.

Thor Shrugs "Possibly. But then I decide to go out there and investigate. And what do I find, but the Nine Realms completely in chaos. Enemies of Asgard assembling, plotting our demise, all while you, Odin, the protector of those Nine Realms, are sitting here in your bathrobe, eating grapes."

Odin then says "Yes, well, it is best to respect our neighbors' freedom."

Thor responds. "Yes, of course, the freedom to be massacred."

Odin fires back "Yes, besides I've been rather busy myself."

Thor continues to flip his hammer "Watching theater."

Odin thinks "Well, board meetings, and security council meetings..."

Thor looks at Loki from his peripheral vision "You're really gonna make me do it?"

I'm totally lost.

Odin is too "Do what?"

Thor then stops and throws Mjolnir. "You know that nothing will stop Mjolnir as it returns to my hand. Not even your face." He walks by father.

"Thor what are you?"I move towards Thor.

He puts his hand up stopping me.

Odin ageless "You've gone quite mad. You... you'll be executed for this."

Thor then whispers "Then I'll see you on the other side, brother."

He puts his hand out and the Mjolnir returns.

Odin shrinks down "All right, I yield." then Odin transforms into Loki and Thor catches Mjolnir.

I stare at the Now Loki. My heart stopping.

Skurge the door keeper arrives "Behold! Thor... Odinson."

Loki then looks annoyed "No, no. You had one job. Just the one."

I walk up to him and touch his face.

"Avinna...." He starts out looking deeply into my eyes.

I slap him hard. "You..." I slap him again.

He raises his hands. "If you'll let me explain."

I aim to punch him hard but Thor grabs my fist.

Thor looks to Loki "Where's Odin? "

Loki Rubs his cheeks "You just couldn't stay away, could you? Everything was fine without you. Asgard was prospering. You've ruined everything. Ask them."

Thor looks to me and let's go of my hand. "Where's Father? Did you kill him?"

Loki looks nervous "You had what you wanted. You had the independence you asked for." I slowly move ice around him and tighten it slowly. "Ow, ow, ow, ow. Okay. I know exactly where he is."
