Chapter 65

Avinna POV

I start to feel myself come to reality. Feeling groggy. I reach up and rub my eyes. I open my eyes fully to see im in a cage. A box.

I look up and see glass. People. My right a man was walking in. He looks at me and waves. Then continues on to my left. "Bucky?" I speak.

Bucky looks at me. Then Helmut Zemo the man in front of him he speaks "hello, Mr. Barnes. I've been sent by the United Nations to evaluate you. Do you mind if I sit? Your first name is James?"

I look up to see Sharon Carter In an office with Sam and Steve.

"Why are you here? Where are we?" I ask him as I keep looking around.

Helmut Zemo looks at me then back at Bucky "I'm not here to judge you. I just want to ask you a few questions. Do you know where you are, James?"

"If we knew where we were I wouldn't have asked that." Upset I start to perspire from my heart racing.

" I can't help you if you don't talk to me, James." He continues to ignore me.

Bucky Speaks "My name is Bucky."

"We're In a secure chamber." I look around.

"Tell me, Bucky. You've seen a great deal, haven't you" He Continues

I look to Bucky.

Bucky Looks Down "I don't want to talk about it."

Helmut Zemo presses on "You fear that... if you open your mouth, the horrors might never stop. Don't worry." Zemo gets a message on his screen.

" why are you doing this?" I snap at Helmut.

"We only have to talk about one." He smirks. Then the bunker the lights go out.

I look up at to find Steve. But all I see nothing but blackness. I turn to Bucky.

Bucky Looks at me and then him "What the hell is this?"

Helmut Paces around "Why don't we discuss your home? Not Romania. Certainly not Brooklyn, no. I mean, your real home."

Zemo removes his glasses then walks towards Bucky reading from the red book by torchlight. "Желание. (Longing.)"

Bucky shuts his eyes. "No." Bucky's head snaps back.

"Stop it!" I yell at the evil man.

Helmut Continues "Ржавый. (Rusted.)"

Bucky "Stop."

Helmut smiles "Семнадцать. (Seventeen.)"

Bucky's metal arm trembles in its restraint. "Stop." He sneers angrily.

"Bucky what's happening??!" I bang on the glass cage.

Helmut "Рассвет. (Daybreak.)"

Bucky screams, clenches his fist and rips free of his restraints.

Helmut "Печь. (Furnace.) Девять. ([subtitled] Nine.)"

I panic. I look down and see my sweat. I gather all the wetness I can muster.

Bucky thumps the inside of the pod.

Helmut "Добросердечный. Benign.)"

Bucky punches harder.

I make little needles and start attacking the glass. "Just hold on Bucky!" I look at him worried but continue. "Come-on come-on come-on come-on." my heart is beating fast I feel it in my ears.
