Scream

“So how are you going to tell him?” Cori asked stepping out of the van.

Bey didn’t say anything, she just kept walking until she got to the door.

“Bey.” Cori said.

“Yes child.” Bey said turning to face her.

“How are you going to tell him?” she asked again.

Bey turned her body towards the door, unlocked it, and walked in with Cori on her tail.

“Jay!” Bey screamed across the house.

“Yes!” he screamed back.

“I’m pregnant!” Bey screamed.

“I know!” he screamed back.

“And Cori is my daughter!” She screamed at him.

Jay didn’t say anything back, but he walked down the stairs holding Bey’s pink Mac. The room was silent as he walked in and sat her Mac down on the table.

“So you’ve been lying to me this entire time.” Jay said interrupting the heavy silence.

“I didn’t lie. I just didn’t—”

“Tell me the truth.” Jay said for her.

Cori was just standing there.

“Jay.” Bey said reaching for him.

“Bey.” Jay said stepping out of her reach.

“Look, I know you’re mad, but –”

“But what? You have an excuse as to why you lied and said you aborted her?” Jay asked.

“Wait! You were going to abort me!?” Cori asked.

“No Cori, I wasn’t going to abort you. And Jay, yes I do.”

“I’m listening.” He said sitting on the couch.

“Well, the whole Lyndall thing was really complicated.” Bey said.

“I know. I know what he did to you, and I know it’s a touchy subject, but you—”

“Lied.” Bey said finishing his sentence.

“Yes. About a big part of your life.”

“Jay, don’t act like you’ve never kept anything from me.” Bey said raising her eyebrow.

“Bey, don’t bring that up, and this ain’t even about me.” Jay said.

“Why can’t I bring it up Jay? Huh? It’s not like you told me that you were going around screwing other women right? It’s not like you had an affair, it’s not like you could have gotten them pregnant. It’s not like they could have told the media! It’s not like—”

“Enough!” Jay screamed standing up from his position on the couch. “Stop saying them, it was one time. I don’t know who ‘them’ is! And like I said this isn’t about me Beyoncé!” He screamed walking closer to her.

Cori got scared and ran in between the two of them. “Don’t hit her!” Cori said standing in between them mocking what Bey had done to her and Marcus a few days ago, she had tears in her eyes.

“Jay isn’t—” Bey started to say.

“Cori, lift your head up and look at me.” Jay said.

Cori slowly looked up at him.

“You see that woman right there?” he said pointing at Bey. Cori nodded. “I would never lay my hands on her. No matter how upset I get with her, or how much a scream and yell, that is my woman, my wife, my life. I will never put my hands on her.” He said breaking eye contact with Cori so he could look at Bey while finishing up his sentence. “You hear me?” he asked looking back at Cori. She nodded her head.

“Cori, do me a favor and go check on Blue.” Bey said.

“Okay.” Cori said running up the stairs.

After Cori was gone Jay stepped to Bey. “I didn’t mean to scare her.” He said. “And I didn’t mean to yell at you like that. It’s just you make me mad sometimes.” He added.

“I’m sorry for lying about Cori. I should’ve told you the day you asked.”

“And I’m sorry for cheating. I know sorry doesn’t make up for what I did, but I pray that one day you will forgive me.”

“I did forgive you.” Bey said.

“No you don’t. You’re trying to, but you still need time and I understand.”

Bey nodded. “I love you Shawn.” She said.

“I love you Bey.” He said kissing her on the forehead.

“And you know who else I love?” Jay said letting go of Bey and getting on his knees. He lifted her shirt up a little and kissed her stomach. “I love the mini us that’s growing in your belly.” He said.

When he lifted her shirt back down Cori came down the stairs. I guess it looked like they were doing something nasty from Cori’s position on the stairs. “OHMYGOD!” Cori said covering up her eyes.

Bey laughed at her. “We aren’t doing anything Cori.” Bey said pulling Jay up.

Jay smiled.

“Oh, Umm. Okay. I was just letting you know that Blue is sleeping.” She said putting her hands down.

“Thank you.” Bey said.

She turned around and started to walk back up the stairs when Jay called her name.

“Yes sir?” Cori said turning around.

“Come here.”

Cori walked to the both of them and she sat on the couch.

“So, the guest room is a guest room, and you are no longer a guest.” Jay said.

“Oh.” Coir said looking down.

“So we’re moving you to the room right next to Blue. It’s twice the size of the guest room.” Jay said.

“Really!?” Cori said lifting her head up.

“Yes.” Bey said. “And I got you something while we were at the mall.” She added.

“What is it?” Cori asked standing up.

Bey walked a couple feet to the front door and stared looking through her bags.

“Here.” Bey said handing Cori a box.

Cori took it from her and shook the box.

“Don’t do that. You’ll crack it.” Bey said basically giving away the surprise.

“YOU GOT ME A PHONE!” Cori screamed while still opening the box.

Bey chuckled and said “Yes.”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” She screamed jumping up and down like a little three year old.

“You’re welcome.” Bey said.

Cori ran back up the stairs and Bey added “And add D to your contacts.” She added.

Even though Cori was out of sight she Bey knew she rolled her eyes. “And you better not be rolling your eyes!” Bey screamed.

Cori just laughed.

“Wow. She sounds just like you.” Jay said.

“Yeah, she does.”

“And who is D?” Jay asked sitting on the couch.

“Just some guy she met.” Bey said sitting on Jay’s lap.

“She doesn’t need to be giving her number out to horny little teenage boys.” Jay said.

“She didn’t give her number to him. He gave it to her.” Bey said smiling.

“That better be all he’s giving to her.”

“Relax. They just met.” Bey said through her laugh.

“I love you.” Jay said and kissed Bey’s cheek.

“I love you to. And your big ass lips.” Bey said grabbing his cheeks and pushing them together so his lips stuck out more.
