Happy Birthday (Part 1:Breakfast)

Cori POV

I was sleeping peacefully until I felt a body drop on me. I groaned.

"Wake up bitch, it's your birthday!" Danielle said. She spent the night with me.

"It's also 3 a.m." I said rolling over so she fell on the floor.

"It's 10 a.m. and your mother told me to wake you up." She said standing up.

10 a.m. "Am I not going to school today?" I said sitting up.

"Obviously. Get up and get dressed. You have company." She said.

"Already? Whose here?" I asked stretching out my arms and yawning.

"Yes already. And Laurent and Kelan." She said.

"Is Jerica here?"

"Nope." She said. "Get up so we can eat." She said leaving my room.

I rolled out of bed and went into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I went into my closet and saw that I already had an outfit laid out. It was from Kelan. It was a gold crop top with the letter C on it and it was long sleeve. The letter C was black. It came with leather pants and black stilettos with gold trimming around it. It came with a card. "Happy Birthday Cori! I know that I haven't known you that long but I still wanted to get you something, hopefully you like it :)." I awed to myself then put on the outfit.

When I was done I went to my vanity and put on light make up then I went downstairs.

"There she is!" My dad said. "Happy Birthday princess." He added. "Thank you." I said.

"Well don't you look nice." My mom said. "And happy birthday bumble bee." She said.

"Thank you and thank you," I said smiling.

"Thanks for the birthday gift Kelan. I love it." I said hugging him. "Anything for you." He said hugging me back. I smiled and let go of his embrace.

"Happy Birthday." Laurent said standing up. Things have still been a little awkward between us since the incident about a week ago. "Thanks." I said running a hand through my hair.

"So what are we doing today?" I asked.

"We are going to IHop for breakfast, the movies, anywhere you want to go for lunch, to the store to get you an outfit for tonight, and then to your fathers club 40/40." My mom said.

"I'm not old enough to get into a club." I said.

"I own the club." My dad said.

"True." I said.

"Can we go eat now?" Danielle asked.

"You always eating something." Kelan said messing with her.

"I wasn't talking to you." She retorted.

"We taking the van?" I asked.

"Limo. Let's hit the road." My dad said.

We walked to the limo and we all got it in. My mom, my dad, blue, and Laurent sat across from me, Danielle and Kelan. "Did you get the place shut down?" I asked referring to IHop.

My mom chuckled. "Yes." She said.

"As usual." Blue said. We all laughed. She's so sassy to be two years old.

They went on to talk about a bunch of other things. I wasn't really paying attention though. I looked over to Laurent and he was already looking at me. I gave him a soft smile and he did the same. We haven't really talked much since the incident and I miss him. We stared at each other for a while until someone called my name.
