Beautiful Disaster

Ch.8

After a few more hours of talking and eating the Ice cream in the freezer my body was starting to get tired.

I wasn't ready to leave yet though because I was enjoying this time with Alec, surprisingly.

My eyes were beginning to fall when Alec woke me up with a proposal.

"Be my girlfriend." He says and my eyes immediately flew open.

"What?" I say pulling away from his shoulder.

"Be my girlfriend. I don't mean like my real girlfriend I mean a fake one. It would piss Carter off and no one would bother you in school anymore."

"Nobody is bothering me at school anymore though. Everyone is too scared you're going to kick their asses." I say

"But it'll piss off Carter. Imagine his face when he founds out we're dating. He's an asshole he deserves it." I look at him confused and angry.

Is he just using me to get back at Carter? Is that that what this stupid date was about?

"You're kidding me right. This was your plan? Ask me out, make me feel like you actually like me then use me to get back at him? That's sick." I stand up but he grabs me back down.

"No it wasn't like that. I asked you out because I wanted to not apart of some sick scheme so don't even go there. I'm just saying it'll benefit the both of us. I heard about what happened at the party. I know how embarrassing that must've been. We both win. Just think about it."

So he did know what happened but he just never brought it up.

The party will haunt me for the rest of my dam life and it'll haunt the schools memory too. No one will forget about it so I appreciated him not bringing it up.

I started thinking about the cons of doing this.

I mean I can't really lose anything if I make sure to keep my boundaries up with him. The whole thing will be fake anyways but I wondered what would Alec get from this.

I get that he hates Carter but they must've been friends before right? So what changed?

I still wonder what he meant that night when he referred to sharing. I wanted to ask but tonight wasn't the right time.

"What do you get from this?"

"The satisfaction of knowing Carter will suffer. Trust me loyalty to him means nothing and it's time he realizes every cause has an effect." He says.

"He doesn't even care about me. The last thing he'll care about is if we're dating. He'll probably just say I'm a slut and move on with his life."

"Take it from me no one can just walk away from you and not feel hell for it." He chuckles.

"You barely know me."

"I know you enough. So what do you say?" He sticks his hand out for me to shake. I look at his hand then back at him and give him a really face then roll my eyes and take his hand.

"Fine why not. I don't have anything to lose anyways right?"

"You're right sugar plum. I think I'm the one who has everything to lose though." But before I could ask him what he meant by that my phone rang.

"Hello." I say answering.

"Skyler where the hell are you? Do you know what time it is? I call Dina she says she's not with you and that you're out on a date?! Who are you with? Let me speak to him now." I grimace and hand the phone to Alec. I mouth it's my mom to him and he nods his head taking the phone leaving the room.
