Beautiful Disaster

Ch.32

"Well hell-fucking-lo to you." I hear my best friend say when she sees me standing in front of her locker.

"I brought munchkins." I say hoping to bribe her into not being so mad at me.

"Oh no don't you dare try to bribe me. You had me worry sick!"

"I know and I'm sorry. I was just having a rough week then I got into an argument with my mom and I left my phone at home. I also saw my dad so it was just a lot going on trust me." I say as the bell rings.

"We're going out for lunch and I want to know every detail. Love you!" She says before grabbing the donuts and rushing off to class. I laugh and start to head towards my first period.

Instead of going home last night I decided to have Alec just drop me off at school this morning from the cabin. My car was still at the cabin but I wasn't worried because he promised he would drop it off later when he had the chance.

I didn't feel like driving anyways because as weird as it may sound I actually liked riding around in his truck.

As far as my mental health right now I wouldn't say I was 100% but I was definitely at 75 which was better then before.

Walking to the back of my Math classroom I pull out my notebook. I was going to have to get the notes from someone else in the class because I was pretty sure I missed a lot due to my impromptu time off.

About 40 minutes go by before the school bell rings and I head downstairs to the lower level for Humanities. Pulling out my phone I decide to text Dina and asks where she is before bumping into someone I hoped would swallow a bunch of firecrackers.

"Jesus fucking christ watch where you're going! Ugh it's you!" the demon beast said. Raising my eyebrow I looked at her appearance.

No matter how much makeup she tried to put on today you could tell she didn't get any sleep due to the bags under her eyes which were deeper then the Atlantic. She looked like the only thing keeping her from collapsing was the scary thought of falling in those 8 inch heels she had on.

"Oh I'm sorry Kayla. My dumb bitch scanner usually goes off before I see you. It must not be working today." I say while giving her a blank stare.

Deciding to ignore my comment she rolls her eyes. "You know I've actually been looking for you. I don't know what it was that you told Carter but I want you to know he cheated on you once and he'll do it again." My face stays blank for a second before I start laughing and I don't mean regular laughing I mean a full on belly hurt kind of laugh.

"Kayla have a nice day." I say while wiping some tears I got from laughing so hard off my face and walking away.

I didn't make it far before I felt someones clammy hands grab my arm and turn me around so fast I almost got whiplash. "I don't think you heard what I said. He's mine and will always be mine. I got him once and I sure as hell will do it again."

Yanking my arm away from her I notice the red marks from where her nails were digging in my skin. "Touch me like that again and I'll make sure I decapitate you. I don't know what's going on with you and your dysfunctional boy toy but leave me out of it."

"So you didn't tell him to break up with me? because you wanted him back?!" She screams and by now a circle was forming.

I don't like confrontation and I hate being the center of attention but I had warned her over and over again.

I was done with her crap.

"Do you ever think that if he broke up with you maybe it's because you're a disgusting human being? Same way you get them is the same way you lose them. Don't blame me because he didn't want to use you as a plaything anymore. Now excuse me I have to get to class." I say before turning around and seeing Dina pushing through the crowd.
